Accounts Assistant - Immediate Hiring

Responsibilities

• To help in handle full set of accounts
• Perform inter-company billings
• Management reporting
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Closing of monthly/ quarterly/ yearly accounts
• Ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by Head of Department (HOD)

Requirements

• Diploma in Accountancy, LCCI, CAT or its equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in accounting
• Able to start immediately or within short notice preferred
• Positive personality & disposition, with good working attitude

Responsibilities

• Support the full spectrum of HR functions for faculty members such as appointment, contract renewal, leave, benefits, performance management, promotion, career development and exit.
• Support the administration and management of scholarship programmes. These include but are not limited to recruitment & selection, bond deed & tracking of bond period, scholars’ progress reports and maintaining scholarships database.
• Manage queries and provide advice to stakeholders like line managers, employees and scholars.
• Prepare HR statistical reports.
• Provide support in HR projects and initiatives.
• Review HR processes and procedures.

Requirements

• A Polytechnic Diploma, preferably in Business Studies with specialization in Human Resource Management.
• Preferably with 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a HR role.
• Familiar with the Employment Act, local immigration rules and work pass application procedures. Meticulous, detail-oriented and good with numbers.
• Very good IT skills and highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to take initiative, work independently, and collaboratively in teams.
• Good communication (written and spoken) skills.
• Experience in using Workday will be advantageous.
• Prior experience in working with faculty members will be advantageous.

NIE Staff can take chartered buses at their own expense from or near their homes to the NIE campus. This is subject to availability of seats.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily operational and accounting duties including AR and AP.
• Handle data entries & filling for sales invoices and supplier invoices.
• Prepare payment vouchers, statement of accounts and update banking transactions.
• Perform bank accounts reconciliation.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments on invoices and payments.
• Check, verify and process invoices, expense claims & reimbursements.
• Ensure accurate and assist on timely closing of accounts.
• Assist in financial audits and schedules preparation.

Requirements:

• Professional Certificate/NiTEC/Diploma in any discipline, preferably in Business/Commerce/Accounting

• Attend to clients’ enquiries including walk-in clients.
• Liaise with clients and insurers on policies renewal and new business placement.
• Conduct Premium and Benefits Comparison to keep abreast of market trends.
• Provide support for insurance claims processing.

Requirements:

• BCP, PGI, ComGI certified
• HI certification will be an added advantage
• At least 2 years of insurance experience
