• Works closely with finance leaders to spearhead strategies for global tax function, provide tax advisory to senior stakeholders
• Optimise global tax structure and minimise the Group's direct and indirect tax cost and exposure

• Ensure all global tax compliance obligations are met, accurate reporting of tax returns consistent with the planning structure

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelors Degree graduate in Accountancy, ATP/CA qualified with at least 7 years of working experience in Tax matters
• Big 4 tax candidates with international tax exposure and/or working experience with MNC in full spectrum tax role
• Industry knowledge in maritime sector will be advantageous
• Strong technical knowledge and application of accounting standards, successful execution of tax strategies for APAC, global region

Job Description:

• Oversee the workshop operations and ensure compliance with industry or manufacturers’ service and repair quality and standards
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Manpower workplace safety and health standards
• Ensure motor vehicle service staff comply with environmental laws and regulations
• Oversee the disposal of wastes such as used engine oil, and soot to ensure adherence to health and safety laws
• Assign and schedule work duties to motor vehicle service staff according to their skills
• Oversee the inspection of motor vehicles to identify faulty components and facilitate the process of repairs
• Assist technicians in the diagnostic of motor vehicle problems, offer solutions and advice

• Oversee the hiring and training of an effective motor vehicle service team
• Maintain an accurate record of all accounts and relevant financial information
• Monitor inventory to regulate and ensure the availability of required vehicle parts
• Oversee the procurement of vehicle parts, automotive equipment, and various other items required in the workshop
• Review and manage operating performance such as job orders, revenues, gross profit, operating costs, and operating profits regularly
• Attend technical workshops and study relevant publications to stay up-to-date with developments in the automotive service industry

The Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or its equivalent
• At least four (4) years in the operating environment preferably from the automotive industry
• Applicants with NITEC in Automotive Technology and 10 years of relevant experience will also be considered
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
