Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Verification and posting of vendor invoices accurately and on a timely basis.
• Ensure all taxes related to vendor invoices, such as GST and withholding tax are correctly applied during posting.
• Perform reconciliation of vendor’s statement of account to AP ledger.

Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV)

• Verification and posting of vendor invoices for inventory and logistics related expenses, to ensure:

1. All inventory cost and cost of goods sold transactional posting are recorded correctly per inventory value received into warehouse and drop shipment respectively.
2. Accurate and timely records of all logistic-related expense transactions and ensure proper cut- off at month end.
3. GST regulations are complied with.
4. Agreement of Intercompany balances at month-end.

Issuance of Debit / Credit Notes

• Responsible for the issuance of AP debit notes on defective items returned to affiliated companies on a timely basis.
• Ensure debit entries via the issuance of debit notes to affiliated companies are recorded accurately.

Reconciliation of Intercompany AP balances and confirmation of Corporate Netting

• Prepare monthly inter-company AP confirmation on a timely basis, sending and informing respective personnel in charge on discrepancy, if any.
• Prepare email confirmation to affiliated companies on the netting schedule and amount owing to Singapore Head Office for direct remittance to Corporate at the designated date as informed by Corporate.
• Prepare Netting schedule for Corporate review and approval within the first week of themonth.

Inventory & NLAG (Physical count and inventory devaluation provision)

• Co-ordinate the bi-annual inventory count, including drafting of the count procedures and printing of inventory listing prior to the count, reconciliation of inventory, between warehouse WMS report and SAP inventory balance.
• Ensure inventory count discrepancy has been followed up and report count result to management.
• Compute provision for inventory obsolescence according to inventory policy.

Verification of Internal Transfer Requisition (ITR) transactions

• Responsible for reviewing and verifying ITR transactions, to ensure documentation and process of all ITR transactions comply with Company policies, procedures, Company Financial Accounting Standard, FRS and JSOX.

Admin, Ad-hoc projects

• Support process improvement to enhance administrative and operation.
• Participate and support any ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable and general accounting.
• Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
• Meticulous and attention to detail.
• Confident to deal with a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload.
• Highly proactive and motivated.
• Able to work as a team and individually.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably with experience in SAP.

• Draw on knowledge of psychology and behavioural sciences to support conceptualization of and conduct applied research studies as required by the Authority
• Conduct literature reviews and write reports on research studies as required by the Authority.
• Collect and analyse research data.
• Communicate research findings through presentations and training platforms (e.g. classroom, seminars).

• Providing publication related support.
• Archive research process and outcomes as part of the Authority’s knowledge management efforts.

Role Overview:

The Risk Officer is part of the Risk team based in Singapore reporting to the Head of Risk, Asia Pacific and will work in close collaboration with traders, operations, trade support, accounting and back office. This role is a key control function ensuring quality reporting of trading performance and risk analysis for the region.

Main Responsibilities

• Daily trading P&L validation and reporting to traders and management. This includes analysis of the key drivers of P&L and reconciliation against trader's estimates and market fundamentals.
• Daily exposure reconciliation with traders
• Liaise and coordinate daily with operations for logistical impact on risk exposure and P&L/costs.
• Daily reconciliation of listed derivative contracts between exchange statements and in-house Energy, Trade and Risk Management (ETRM) systems
• Daily validation of trade economics of physical trades done against trade recaps
• Ensure curves are reasonably marked by comparing against broker quotes/reliable external sources.
• Check marked to market curves applied to physical deal valuation daily.
• Allocate hedges in strategies.
• Monitor daily VAR consumption against VAR limits and report breaches to Head of Risk, Asia Pacific on a timely basis.
• Responsible for reviewing, investigation and resolution of month end breaks between in-house ETRM system trading results and accounting.
• Responsible for setting up new curves/calendar set up and onboarding new products to be traded in-house ETRM system for risk management and P&L generation.
• Will be expected to participate and contribute to any system and process migration projects relating to Risk function.
• Perform cross coverage within Risk team.
• Identify and implement ways to streamline existing processes such as automation.
• Provide risk analytics for management reporting.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree with a major in, Accountancy, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics.
• At least 2 or more years of work experience in the trading/commodities houses as Risk Officer (or equivalent) for both derivatives and physical trades.
• Must have excellent Excel skills.
• Preference for Excel VBA, Python or Power Query/BI skills.
