KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety Management and Training:

Safety and Accident Analysis:

• Work with relevant departments to collect and analyze safety-related data, including injuries and incidents.
• Ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken to address identified risks.

Training Policies and Review:

• Monitor and review training policies for both shore-based and onboard personnel to ensure effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the training department to update materials and methodologies as needed.

Marine Advice and Vessel Performance:

• Provide expert marine advice to assigned vessels on navigational, communication, cargo handling, and ship handling issues.
• Monitor and provide feedback on the performance of Masters on assigned vessels.

Fleet Instructions and Vessel Vetting:

• Regularly review and update fleet instructions to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
• Ensure all vessels undergo thorough vetting to meet the requirements of major oil companies and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class 3 Certificate of Competency (CoC) issued by a recognized maritime authority.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of seagoing experience as a senior officer, with command experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for trade/B2B marketing activities of Content Distribution department including trade events, marketing collaterals and digital marketing.

Events Management:

• Identify and plan key local / overseas content markets for branded booths to promote latest programme offerings, as well as identifying relevant programmes to promote in each market.

Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistants to join our projects in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our projects are primarily focused on exploring the role of neuroimaging in the clinic, facilitated by quantitative analysis including machine learning, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease), with a small focus on brain tumor imaging. The title of the current major project is <Development of a data-driven imaging biomarker for Alzheimer's disease>. The main objective of our ongoing research is to develop and validate data-driven imaging biomarkers to predict the prognosis of Alzheimer's disease dementia in elderly individuals by harmonizing established Alzheimer's disease research datasets and retrospective local institutional datasets.

The primary responsibilities of the Research Assistant will revolve around data management and administrative tasks, as described below:

Key Responsibilities

Database management and basic analysis:

- Download and integrate imaging and other non-imaging data into our research database.

- Perform basic neuroimaging processing and analysis using our existing R / Python pipeline. The role could extend to pipeline customization if the RA shows an interest and aptitude for image analysis work.

- The role could extend to basic statistical analysis and machine learning tasks using pre-built code, under the guidance of the PI and AI expert research staff, if the RA shows interest and aptitude for the above tasks.

Administrative tasks:

- Assist with ethical application processes for access to public datasets such as UK Biobank, ADNI, etc. and ensure compliance with institutional/university IRB procedures.

- Provide general administrative and secretarial support to the project, such as coordinating meetings, procurement, etc.

Assist in the preparation of scientific documents:

- Conduct literature searches, assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant proposals/reports, and other scientific documents under the direct supervision of the PI.

Qualifications
