Reporting to: Regional Tax Manager / Finance Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance:
Oversee and ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations across various jurisdictions in the APAC region, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax.
- Tax Planning:
Assist in developing and implementing effective tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring compliance with local laws.
- Transfer Pricing:
Support transfer pricing policies and documentation requirements, ensuring proper intercompany transactions and compliance with regional and international regulations.
- Tax Reporting:
Prepare tax provisions, quarterly and annual tax filings, and manage tax audits in multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to identify tax risks and opportunities, offering advice on tax-efficient structures and potential savings.
- Tax Advisory:
Provide advisory support on tax matters related to business operations, cross-border transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and new market expansions in the region.
- Risk Management:
Monitor and assess changes in tax regulations across the APAC region, ensuring the company remains compliant and mitigating any risks related to tax policies.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax roles, preferably in regional or multinational organizations.
- Solid knowledge of Singapore tax regulations and familiarity with APAC regional tax laws.
- Strong understanding of transfer pricing principles and tax treaties.
- Proficiency in financial reporting systems and tax software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience in cross-border collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Tax Professional (CTP) qualification is a plus.
- Prior experience in managing tax audits and dealing with tax authorities in multiple jurisdictions.
