As a generalist, and a business unit partner, the incumbent will work closely with managers to think of innovative HR interventions that will meet the business needs and drive the implementation of people initiatives.
The incumbent primary responsibility will include handling of Human Capital & Development functions as assigned by the Director of Human Capital & Development. The functions include recruitment, compensation and benefit, staff welfare, and performance management.
Recruitment
· Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans.
· Design, plan and execute hiring needs/forecast.
· Managing end-to-end recruitment.
· Monitor market trends in hiring practices and ensure our strategy is in line with the market
· Innovate on hiring practices by using new methods or channels
· Create and maintain a talent pool through various sources of networks (including job portals, recruiters, government links and etc) for critical positions.
· Handles full array of recruitment functions from Job Description drafting, hiring requisition, sourcing of candidates, pre-qualification, interview arrangement, managing offers and negotiation.
· Works closely with department heads from on-boarding procedures to off-boarding, includes hiring needs, job offer, confirmation to exit interview.
· Liaise and organise recruitment events including career fair, networking session, site visits and campus recruitment.
· Manages HR administration responsibilities and recruitment related matters, main liaison person for internal and external job advertisement portals.
· Handles application, renewals and cancellation of all work passes.
· Assist in ad hoc surveys or projects such as Hotel Job Vacancies Survey, Aon Hewitt, MOM Labour Market Survey
Compensation & Benefits
· Responsible for the full cycle of payroll timesheet and overtime checking.
· Leave administration to ensure leave records are up-to-date and accurate.
· Handle associates’ enquiry on benefits (Eg. Leave, insurance, etc)
· Handle full cycle of off-boarding (resignation, termination and dismissal) and liaise with payroll on payment of last salary.
· Handles employee movements such as promotion, transfer and re-designation.
· Prepare recognition, commendation letters and certificate of employment, as and when required.
· Keying in of new hire’s personal information into the system and administer personal files of new hires are order.
· Update associate’s employment history in HR system.
· Ensure timely submission of Notice of Accidents to Ministry of Manpower for any workplace accidents that occurred in the hotel (WICA).
· Monitor claims reimbursement from with hotel’s appointed insurer.
· Assist in Annual Salary review, Performance Review, Budget preparation and Annual Wage Supplement preparation.
Staff Welfare
· Handles Staff Welfare related matters such as Housing and Get Well Basket/Condolences etc.
· Ensure timely monthly submission of Company's Grab Report & OT Accrual to Finance.
· Ensures and implements locker maintenance plan to ensure locker room and lockers are well maintained and conduct regular checks.
· Manage Long Service Awards, Staff Recognition Programmes and assist in any Staff Engagement Programmes for the associates.
· General office administration (stock level of service pins, name tags, stationeries, stamps etc)
Others
· Assist with planning, organising and co-ordination of all associate relations programs as and when required.
· Submit timely report (HCD report, Statistics, MOM Survey) as required
· Adhoc projects as assigned by Director of HCD.
