We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant with a strong mathematical background who is interested to explore new research directions in neuro-symbolic methods, specifically on the interplay between deep learning and symbolic reasoning. Due to rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced seeking an experienced Design Manager (BIM) to strengthen our technical team. This is a full-time position, and it is perfect for someone with rich façade design knowledge and passionate about managing roles.

Job Responsibilities

· Responsible for all BIM modelling works.

· Organize and plan a design works to meet construction schedule.

· Provide leadership and manage the team members in a professional manner, e.g., allocation of work, providing guidelines to them in drafting to maintain the quality, improving productivity, checking drawings and cutting list profiles etc.

· Ensure design, drawings, and all other deliverables meet the standard requirements, specifications and within scope of works.

· Identify additional work/variations to the Project Manager / Contract Manager for processing/approval of the variation order.

· To coordination between Design Team, Consultants, Main Contractor and other contractors.

· Assist site team in resolution of site clashes.

· Participate in workshops and lead, review and comment of shop drawings in terms of constructability, sequencing and ensure quality of the design is maintained throughout.

· Manage the design change process to ensure minimal impact to project schedule and minimize cost impacts as a result of such design change.

· To resolve any unforeseen interface problems throughout the various design phases.

Job Requirements:

· Required skills: design development, design management.

· Knowledge and skills in Revit and Rhino

· Good knowledge and skills in BIM modelling.

· Possess good communications and people skills

· Good organization, coordination and leadership skills

· Minimum 5 years working experience in façade design.

Responsibilities

1) To ensure system design and shop drawing submissions are in accordance to specifications.

2) Plan and monitor all system design and shop drawing submissions to ensure submissions are accurate and on schedule.

3) To analyze technical specifications and develop concept drawings, system designs, shop drawings and fabrication drawings and ensure compliance to specifications.

4) Assist in setting up systems and processes to improve the standards and efficiency of the Technical Department.

5) Ensure the design process complies with all legislations, standards and codes of practice where appropriate.

6) To collaborate with the Technical and the Project team to develop and implement effective design strategies.

7) Attend sales, technical and Project meetings when required.

Duties and Responsibility

· Create, develop & update BIM model either from scratch or existing supplied 2D CAD or PDF drawings.

· Ensure model quality and identify any conflict between disciplines.

· Generate & update Revit-based plans, sections, elevations and details that can be used as design analysis, tender drawing, drawing for Authority submission, shop drawing, fabrication drawing and as built drawing.

· Generate 3D centre-line model for structural Engineer to perform analysis.

• Master's Degree in Architecture.
• 2 to 5 years of working experience.
• Problem solving abilities, attention to details, with good sense of design.
• Able to contribute and work independently as well as in a team to advance the design and project objectives.
• Well versed in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop and other design software.
• Conversant with local codes and regulations.
• Contract administration experience.
