Ground Labs is looking for a results-oriented Software Engineering Manager to join our high-performing engineering team. This role will be instrumental in facilitating our continued growth by building powerful products and tackling complex real-world cybersecurity data challenges. This position will be based in our Singapore headquarters and will report into our Chief Technology Officer.

Incumbent should be:

• An experienced leader with at least 12 years of SW industry experience, including 4+ years managing software and QA engineers.
• A hands-on architect who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces new technologies, and can prototype solutions rapidly.
• A self-starter who thrives on learning new things and can adapt to working with diverse products and technologies.
• A passionate advocate of collaborative development, able to mentor engineers and lead by example.

Responsible for:

• Develop, refine, and implement architectural and design decisions for existing and new products.
• Manage and empower software and QA engineers to achieve peak performance
• Research cutting-edge technologies and translate them into innovative solutions.
• Build new functionalities and address critical software bugs with your exceptional coding skills.
• Leading estimation efforts in co-operation with our product management
• Partner with customer support and users to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and best practices within the engineering team.

Requirements:

• Experience as an architect on crafting new SW architectures and/or guiding successful architectural transitions.
• The ability to lead, motivate and influence engineers also beyond your immediate team without a formal authority.
• Proven experience designing and developing scalable, multi-threaded, and low-latency systems as a backend / full stack engineer.
• Proficiency in modern C++ development with exposure to other languages like Go, Rust, and Python.
• A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and software engineering best practices like design patterns, Clean Code, and Extreme Programming.
• Strong foundation in software security, cloud hosting/development, operating systems, databases, computer networks and machine learning / AI
• Ability to take ownership of large product components and a passion for driving results.
• A degree in Computer Science or related field, a Master/PHD degree would be an added advantage
• Excellent English written/oral communication skills

Purpose and Scope:

The person is responsible as assistant planning engineer to assist the planning manager & planning engineer to facilitate, consolidate, track and liaison of all submissions, approvals, drawings and other documents for authority compliance, commencement, construction, and completion of a project.

The person is responsible to assist the planning manager & planning engineer in creating and monitoring project execution plans and highlight deviations and communicate to respective stakeholders. The person is also responsible for supporting the timely delivery of solar system installation projects.

The person is also responsible for project office / site administrative duties to maintain office optimal operating function.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor project master schedule to ensure documents submission is on time.
• Manage the documentation control for project including but not limited to categorization, indexing, filing, issue and receipt of transmittals and project documents/drawings to all relevant reviewers for new / revised documents.
• Management of turnaround of LIVE project documents/drawings in receiving, distribution and transmitting for the projects that are on-going - Update and remind/flag out Project team and vendors on outstanding document.
• Gather comprehensive information from the project engineers, meticulously complete application forms for submission to the relevant authorities, and diligently monitor and track the progress until resolution.
• Undertake meticulous on-site verifications of rooftops and electrical switchrooms to gather essential information necessary for submission to the relevant authorities.
• Anticipate and monitor the submission status with various authorities such as SPPG, SCDF, EMA, among others, proactively identifying any potential delays and promptly highlighting them for attention for closure of outstanding issues
• Undertake any other ad-hoc task or any other responsibilities and assignments as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Project Manager

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum diploma in engineering field, with sound knowledge of project planning & document controls
• Experience in coordination with Project & Engineering and Operations & Maintenance personnel will be an added advantage.
• Understanding in project timeline & cost control will be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
• Have initiative, pro-activeness, good attitude & willing to learn
• Able to work independently & with others in a deadline-driven & result-driven team environment
• Ability to interact with & effectively manage with various levels of admin, technical personnel & vendors/contractors/agencies to support our project delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

· Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.

· Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications.

· Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes and time schedules.

· Unload goods as per client specifications.

· Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.

· Ensure good customer service is provided (eg. good customer service upon deliveries).

· Assists in warehouse operations - picking, receiving, sorting, packing, and quality checking on products.

· Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements:

· Possess a valid Class 4 driving license

· Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field

· Willing to perform overtime as and when required.

· Able to handle loading/unloading of goods

• Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
• Responsible for contract negotiation and tender presentations
• Maintain relationship with clients, Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
• Coordinating and close follow up with the project team to makes sure that the projects get done timely and contractually

Minimum 4 years of related working experience

• Lead cyber security policies and control libraries development while facilitating engagement and collaboration with various stakeholders in public healthcare sector.

• Be the vocal voice for the team from a cyber security perspective when evaluating stakeholders’ requirements, expectation, and interaction.

• Facilitate the engagement and alignment with both Synapxe and MOHH entities’ stakeholders including but not limited to CIOs, CISOs and other functional leaders.

• Support the roll out of campaigns on policies and control libraries.

• Lead the evaluation and revision of policies in a systematic and periodic interval.

• Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and changes regulations.

• Maintain effective working relationships with peers, stakeholders, and regulators to seamlessly integrate the policy adherence into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the sector.

• Demonstrate your domain expertise; you are expected to further your own knowledge and improve productivity of your colleagues with activities such as creating learning content, presenting, and supporting a continuous learning culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with over 14 years of experience.

• Recognized industry leading certifications in relevant areas such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, and GIAC certifications.

• Good working experience in policy, standard and guideline developments in cyber security and technology risk domain

• Solid technical writing and attention to details.

• Good working knowledge on well-recognized frameworks & standards such as IM8, NIST CSF, COBIT5/2019, and ISO27000 series

• Command a good understanding and experience in cyber security, risk management, and compliance concepts and processes.

• Ability to consult and influence stakeholders on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions.

• Working knowledge of balancing security and business needs

• Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases.

• Able to lead early-stage customer interactions on cybersecurity design.

Job Description:

• Managing the design and coordination of a team of M&E coordinators, Engineers, and BIM modellers.
• Liase with consultants on matters relating to all M&E works.
• Participate in technical meetings and site meetings.
• To assess and resolve any technical or site issues related to M&E drawings and M&E work with consultants and subcontractors
• On-site supervision of work progress
• Maintaining schedules and coordinating the work of subcontractors.
• Assist in finalising accounts of MYE Sub-contractors.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Construction related degree
• At least eight (8) years of relevant experience as M&E Manager in large scale projects is an advantage
• Highly motivated, independent, initiative and responsible.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
