The Assistant Chief Engineer will take ownership of people-management matters for the department including recruiting, upskilling and mentoring team members. This includes coaching team members to ensure that all day-to-day operational matters are handled on time and that guest expectations are met.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the hospitality industry. Pre-opening experience and Fire Safety knowledge would be useful.
• Proven track record in maintenance and knowledge of electrical, plumbing and other mechanical systems. This includes the ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints and other related documents.
• Able to commit to after office hours duties when required and/or shift work.
• Able to work and lead contractors in all work-related activities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
