The candidate will work as a member of the BIM team in Singapore and is expected to be detail-oriented with extensive previous experience working as a BIM coordinator and/or manager. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to relate to and connect with the team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

Job Scope:

• Acting as the intermediary between designers, clients and architects so that projects remain efficient and effective
• Working closely with BIM coordinators and ensuring appropriate implementation of BIM execution plans
• Lead all parties involved in BIM Modelling and engage in 3D review process throughout the project, including regular meetings with BIM coordinators and relevant decision-making authority
• Develop BIM requirements, report format, BIM model structure, BIM model template and shared folder structure for the project
• Supporting and auditing the project team and flagging non-compliances
• Work with all BIM Coordinators from all stakeholders on the project to create, administer and maintain their Models (and associated information) based on the requirements stated in the BIM Execution Plan.
• Ensure the model of construction, virtual mock up and 4D simulation are completed on time
• Lead monthly BIM coordination meeting, providing MOM, status updates of progress, walk-through of BIM model and any other business related to project
• Accountable for creating and implementing BIM deliverables - BIM execution plan, confliction detection report, BIM QC plan, BIM Design review procedure, Construction sequence (4D) and cost estimate (5D)
• Ensuring all technical and engineering drawings and specifications comply with project requirements, no rework due to modelling errors and meeting project deadlines
• Overseeing the purchase of workstations so that hardware is sufficient and effective
• Driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies
• Overseeing BIM budgets, preparation of billing reports
• Adhering to the latest industry standards.

Requirement:

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, mechanical/electronics engineering, Specialist Diploma in BIM would be an advantage
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant BIM project, preferably in construction/engineering sector
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD,Bentley and Autodesk Revit, Naviswork and other similar BIM software
• Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge in BIM management as well as construction management will be an advantage for this post.
• Experience in handling LTA projects
• Good knowledge in BIM visualisation and simulation applications.
• Strong organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills;
• Self-driven, resourceful and a team player
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing

Your day to day

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be providing day-to-day leadership and direction by maximising financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards, and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community.

Financial Returns

• Development, implement and monitor financial and operational plans for the hotel to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability.
• Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty.

People

• Direct day-to-day activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognise good performance.
• Coach and engage hotel staff while ensuring they have the information, market data, tools and equipment to successfully carry out job duties.
• Recommend and deal with staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with hotel and/or company rules and policies.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with key department heads.

Guest Experience

• Interact with guests and individuals outside the hotel, including, but not limited to, current and potential clients, owning company representatives, ommunity leaders, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, competitors and other members of the local community.
• Ensure highest level of guest satisfaction by providing quality guest services and amenities.

Responsible Business

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues. Protect hotel assets in compliance with owners’ policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Work with and maintain relations with external stakeholders, including representatives from Owning Company.
• Act as public relations representative to raise awareness of hotel and brand in local community. Drive team member involvement in community organisations, activities Develop and carry out action plans to be environmentally conscious by taking steps to reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint.
• Perform other duties as assigned. You will be asked to serve as Acting General Manager or Manager on duty.

Accountability

This job is the second in command to the General Manager in a large full-service flagship hotel with an extensive range of facilities and services, including two food and beverage outlets, a bar and banquet services that cater to meetings and wedding events.

What we need from you

• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management and/or Business Administration.
• Several years in senior-level general management role in hotels (or similar sectors) operational roles, with a background in Rooms or Commercial preferred.
• Willing and be eligible for meeting statutory requirements to work in Singapore.
