The HSE Officer reports to the HSEQ Manager and is responsible for all HSE related matters in the Company.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop the HSE Management System, including periodic reviews with other departments.
• Lead in the preparation and submission of the Safety Case to the Major Hazards

As a Marine Assurance Officer, you are an independent operational adviser, auditor and coach for the Company and vessels on matters related to marine assurance. You provide day-to-day Quality, Healthy and Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) advice and active assistance within the business unit, department, vessel and or project. In this role, you ensure that all onshore and offshore activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all personnel involved and the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution.

Within the role you will advise Vessel Managers, Technical Superintendents and Masters’ on maritime regulations and the interpretation thereof to ensure Flag State and International Maritime compliance. You will advise Purchasers on equipment purchasing for ships to ensure they meet maritime regulations and standards.

You will implement vessel safety rules and practices to promote safety on our vessels, and leading by example towards compliance through a positive and safe attitude & through contributing to the HSSE awareness of all employees by coaching and advice. As a Vetting Officer you support the Vetting Manager in day to day operations and be responsible for the support of vetting process within Fleet Services and Fugro Business Lines Third Party (Chartered) vessels. Principal Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Familiar with general banking key risks, processes and controls front-to-back, with a specific focus on MSS and GB
• Experienced technically in:Cash and derivatives markets products, including risks and expected controls, in Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Credit, Rates and Equities (including Prime Brokerage & Futures) and Markets Treasury.
  Investment banking activities, capital markets and credit and lending processes and associated risks.
  Common industry activities such as Communication and Trade Surveillance, benchmark rate submission, debt auctions and market sounding, book building and key aspects of conduct risks
  Custody, Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, and Trustee & Fiduciary Services.
  Role of common functions supporting the above activities including common controls and processes e.g. Product Control, Traded Risk, Operations, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Stewardship etc.
