Responsibilities:

• Work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop comprehensive policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines for biosafety within the BSL-3 Facility.

• Take charge as the Lead Emergency Responder during emergency situations, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and the facility, and overseeing proper decontamination procedures.
• Develop materials and deliver presentations on biosafety topics to both internal staff and external stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols.
• Keep meticulous records of all safety-related activities, incidents, and inspections, and generate comprehensive reports as needed.

Your Profile

• Experience auditing FMCG, high technology, oil & gas, distribution and logistic, manufacturing or semiconductor industry in particular can be a bonus

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Officer, Policy to join our team. This role will lead the development of key policy outputs and requires strong policy research and writing skills. The Senior Officer will report to the Associate Director (Evidence, Insights & Policy).

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of high-quality policy briefs, reports, case studies, position papers and journal articles on malaria elimination, health financing, and emerging communicable disease threats in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Initiate research initiatives and in-depth analysis on complex policy issues, synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations for senior government officials and stakeholders.
• Produce evidence-based policy recommendations aimed at increasing resources from donors and domestic budgets, improving effectiveness of existing tools, introducing new game-changing approaches, and maintaining political will for malaria elimination.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, regional health bodies, and academic institutions, to strengthen APLMA's advocacy efforts.
• Support engagement with policymakers and influencers through various platforms, including high-level workshops, seminars, and meetings, to promote APLMA's policy agenda.
• Provide guidance to team members on policy analysis and writing where necessary.
• Collaborate with in-country programs to ensure policies and strategies are locally relevant, feasible, and effective.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in global health, public health, public policy, health economics, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in policy analysis, advocacy, and implementation in a think tank, consulting firm, or global health organization.
• Exceptional research, reading, analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise policy recommendations.
• Proven track record of leading policy outputs and producing high-quality written materials for diverse audiences.
• Experience working effectively with senior government officials, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders in Asia Pacific is preferred.
• Leadership and project management skills, with experience working on policy initiatives.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of Plants' Operations & Maintenance works
• Attend daily toolbox and work meeting conducted by Engineer and Supervisor.
• Plan, schedule, execute and supervise contractors on the daily routine and non-routine O&M works and troubleshooting, as assigned
• Carry out daily walk-through plant inspection.
• Upkeep maintenance records, work area and tools
• Assist the Engineers in the sourcing and purchasing of spare parts
• Promptly investigate and report equipment defects, deficiencies, and abnormalities
• May be assigned to support district cooling works at other project locations after necessary trainings and to work independently where required
• Any assignment/activity/work tasked by the management.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Higher NITEC/NITEC in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Plumbing/ Refrigeration from a recognized educational institute
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Facility Management / Chiller Operation & Maintenance / Plant process management.
