Responsibilities
Piping Engineer is accountable mainly for construction of piping work efficiently, effectively and in an organized manner; to meet project overall schedule without compromising of safety and quality by coordinating of the client, piping subcontractor(s) and other sections of work involved (structure, electrical & instrument, insulation, painting and, etc.). Including supervision of field inspection of materials, equipment and workmanship, and provision of technical advice to the construction workers and explanation of the requirements on engineering activities and design specifications, upon consultation with clients / engineering to field person.
· Action for commencement of work coordinating with Client, other disciplines and Subcontractors under the direction by HOD.
· Responsible for guiding, training, and effective supervision of assigned personnel
· Review and study the latest issue status of “For Construction Drawings, Specifications and Procedure / Quality Manuals for Construction” and expedite issuance of drawings and other engineering documents to assigned sub-contractor.
· Study and understand project spec, scope of work and scope of supply
· Plan work to meet the required schedule with minimum use of overtime.
· Coordinate all job related to Safety Department before commencing of every single task and HSE implementation in the production activities
· Ensure safety practices on site report in routine observation reports cases of good or bad practices which might affect the safety on site
· Study production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
· Attend weekly meeting with client & subcontractor to discuss weekly progress achieved and any other construction issue.
· Reporting the status of work and problems resolution, progress and collect the quantity of work accomplished to Project Manager.
· Responsible to coordinate of interfacing work with other discipline.
· Direct subcontractors and monitor on the matter of;
o Productivity, actual progress and resource mobilization (workforce, construction equipment and tools) to meet with plan.
o Execution plan, procedures, schedule and progress.
o Monitor of daily and weekly work progress.
o Submission of progress reports effectively & accurately.
· Prepare and issue the “Job Confirmation Sheet” to clients for the additional /modification work.
· Prepare and issue the “Site Instruction” to subcontractors for the additional /modification work.
· Issue the “Site Instruction” to subcontractors for the additional / modification.
· Initiate of construction execution plan target
· Organize and set up piping data sheet for piping works control and monitoring. Instruct
· all related supervisor to maintains and update the data timely.
· Organize piping test group to control and execute piping test activity such as test package preparation, punch list, pressure test and reinstatement.
· Establish sequence of priority system for piping completion with related section, ensure
work and materials are plan in accordance with the same sequence.
· Organize and control shop fabrication activities.
· Any other ad-hoc duties being assigned by your Superior.
Requirements
· Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
· Minimum 5 years of experience in marine/shipyard operations involving site piping fabrication and supervision works
· Highly motivated individuals with good organizational skills and leadership skills
· Able to adapt new work environment and able to lead independently
· Active and positive minded
· Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel).

Permanent - 5.5 days’ work week | Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Saturday 8am-12pm
