Job Responsibilities

The Global Safeguards Senior Manager leads design and implementation of TNC’s rights-centered Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework. The Global Safeguards Senior Manager leads the development of an organization-wide rights-centered Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF), based on existing materials and staff input to-date. They advise global strategies and regions in the development, implementation and active management of tailored Human Rights-centered Environmental and Social Safeguards, based on the Global ESSF. They provide technical leadership in designing, upgrading and delivering tools for management of the rights-centered ESSF. They will supervise a team charged with development and implementation of the ESSF. They work with Regional Rights and Safeguards Advisors in their design, implementation and collective movement building to integrate new standards and processes in conservation projects, programs and strategies. They work with the Global Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities team to implement UNDRIP and TNC Human

Rights Guide in our conservation work in regions. They will be a part of the Equitable Conservation Team in the Chief Conservation Office and will report to the Director, Human Rights in Conservation.

The Global Safeguards Senior Manager influences TNC leadership and advocates for the incorporation of rights-based Environmental and Social Safeguards in organizational policies, processes and procedures. They ensure that the ESSF incorporates strategies that center human rights and support TNC’s compliance with public funding mandates and requirements, as well as build momentum around public funding compliance. They advise the Human Rights in Conservation Director, and the Equitable Conservation Director on how to effectively coordinate safeguards and rights issues across the Chief Conservation Office and Equitable Conservation portfolios, including new strategies. They work to develop a matrixed dotted line network of managed strategy advisors in the field through active collaboration, as well as supporting the development and uptake of ESSF resources and tools. They act as liaison to staff on global conservation teams and advise staff on active strategy management and capacity building. They oversee the development of culturally-responsive training programs, educational materials, and the development of a Train the Trainer program. They will lead and coordinate activities of the TNC ESSF steering committee, support and collaborate with a network of TNC Rights and Safeguards project and program officers in global regions, and work with external partners to identify and learn best practices on ESSF.

The Role

In the role of a Tech Lead, you will assume responsibility for guiding and assembling a team of software and system engineers, leveraging your exceptional technical leadership skills. Minimum Qualifications:

As a pivotal member of our Investment Team, the Portfolio Manager will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day management of our Fixed Income strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a robust portfolio management mindset with a focus on bonds from a Private Bank or Asset Manager.

Portfolio Management

· Support the management of fixed income investment strategies, aligned with clients objectives, risk tolerance, and long-term vision.

· Contribute investment ideas, including selection of single line bonds and bond funds for use in portfolios

· Collaborate with our Chief Investment Office and Product Specialists to commercialize investment capabilities into market-leading investment modules

· Ensure meticulous portfolio construction and seamless end-to-end implementation.

· Actively contribute to our bank's Global Investment Committee, shaping the house view and influencing the broader investment strategy.

Sales & Marketing

· Support frontline client presentations and sales support, articulating the strategy and positioning of our portfolios with clarity and conviction.

· Prepare and deliver client pitches and portfolio reviews, adapting to evolving client needs and market trends.

· Craft and manage forward-looking analyses, delivering insightful commentary on portfolio performance and risk factors.

· Develop and refine marketing collaterals that align with internal standards and regulatory compliance.

Product Management

· Support business development activities to enhance our investment platform and capabilities

· Ensure diligent adherence to SCB stated policies, contributing significantly to investment, risk, and governance processes.

· Assist in the preparation of materials for key governance meetings.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

· Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

· Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate

· 5+ years of experience & proven track record in Fixed Income portfolio management

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA is an advantage

· Solid understanding of financial markets, fixed income research, and investment analysis.

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.

· Prior client facing experience in a private bank or portfolio management environment would be preferred

· Strong business communication is a must

· Demonstrated commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in investment management.
