The Manager Business Intelligence & Data Analytics supports the Head of Products & Portfolio in overseeing the entire Star Alliance Business Intelligence initiatives. As a Manager of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes within the organization. You will lead initiatives on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting business data to provide actionable insights that contribute to corporate planning and improved operational efficiency. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills.

Job Summary

• Execute the development and implementation of data analysis processes and tools.
• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
• Interpret data trends, identify patterns, and provide actionable insights.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Collaborate with Digital & Technology and other BUs to maintain data quality standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in BI and data analytics tools.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance data analysis capabilities.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and provide support in translating business requirements into analytics solutions.

Your Profile

• A minimum of 5 years work experience in BI, data analytics, or a related role
• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Data Science, or a related field; (MBA is a plus).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake).
• Knowledge of databases, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning is a plus.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of the Airline and Alliances industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
• Experience or exposure to global business environments, with an understanding of international market trends and regulatory landscapes.
• High level of proficiency in English is essential, as it is the sole language used for communication with Star Alliance Member Airlines and other external stakeholders.

The Business Planning Analyst is a member of the Regional Business Planning and Reporting team and reports to the Business Planning Assistant Manager. He/She frequently works with data and analyzes factors contributing to the organization’s financial performance. Key tasks of this role is to support the Marketing Team with detailed data analysis with insights, maintenance of database, report generation and forecasting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Reviews data requests to correctly identify and understand the information needed
• Provides data implications of analyses and serves as a subject matter expert to ensure understanding of findings and gain commitment
• Prepares final reports with key findings and updates to provide a value added deliverable to senior management
• Manipulates and combines data accurately to answer business questions
• Utilizes forecasting techniques to produce logical and appropriate forecasts
• Updates the forecasting model to reflect new initiatives, trends, or rate change
• Automates processes where appropriate to increase process efficiency and accuracy

Job Requirements:

• Possess a degree qualification in Finance & Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or similar disciplines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with hands-on skills in data analysis using Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Python would be advantageous.
• Prior experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong business and financial analysis, project management and communication skills.

About The Job

The Associates Management (AM) team manages the appointments and onboarding of SUSS associate faculty. We also handle associated operational matters as well as facilitate engagement events. We believe that a motivated and engaged pool of associate faculty is crucial to our success.

You will be part of a team dedicated to providing proficient and professional management of operational matters and with particular attention to the aspects of engagement, relations, and people strategy.

Reports to a Senior Manager of Associates Management. Works closely with the team so that selected team members could be released at certain periods to work on the design and development of a new and robust IT system for Associates Administration.

What You Will Be Doing

• Meticulous in following through the established process for issuance of contracts to associate faculty in a prompt and timely manner. Ensure that the contractual details correspond to the requirements of respective College, Schools, and Centers accurately.
• Highlight to and work closely with the team to respond to any changing contractual needs or anticipated circumstances that might arise.
• Ensure fees payment to associate faculty on completion of their services are processed professionally and promptly, and in accordance with the terms of their contracts.
• Maintain an up-to-date records of associate faculty's’ details in the system. Ensure accuracy of the records in the system and take initiative to identify and follow-up on any missing information.
• Respond to queries from AFs in a professional and prompt fashion. Ideate and innovate solutions for ad-hoc enquiries or issues faced in business-as-usual activities while contributing towards building an engaged pool of associate faculty.
• Provide support to perform any other duties as assigned by the management or the department.

Job Requirements

• Degree with at least 2 years or Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in the education industry or HR and/or Finance-related work is an added advantage.
