This position is assigned to Diplomatic Technology (DT) Office and crucial for the design, development, testing, and implementation of the Embassy’s applications and intranet web presence, with a special focus on AI systems development and integration. Business Development Manager Requirements and skills

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The position will be responsible for company management, procurement and market development. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Chinese shipping, marine, offshore market and the ability to establish and cultivate strategic partnerships. Familiarity with Chinese suppliers and market development is essential.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead business development initiatives for related products with a focus on the China market, China shipping lines and the Sino-Singapore supply chain for laterally expanding into ship supplies of TCM products and other related shipping, marine, offshore needs.

· Manage company operations, including financial management, human resources and procurement (especially sourcing goods from the Chinese market to Singapore).

· Build and maintain strong relationships with Chinese suppliers and industry partners.

· Work with cross-functional teams to develop strategic business plans and implement growth strategies.

· Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure the company maintains a leading position in the Marine industry and supplies.

· Develop and submit business plans and reports to senior management for decision making.

Qualifications requirments

· MBA degree from a recognized university or institute.

· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine or a related field.

· Minimum 3 years of working experience in the Chinese medicine industry or medical institutes.

· Able to speak Mandarin at a native or professional level, and English at a professional level.

· Proven experience in developing business strategies and managing client relationships.

· Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory landscape for Chinese medicine products in Singapore/China.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a track record of achieving sales and development targets.

Preferred Competencies

· Managerial experience, preferably in a business development or strategic role.

· Strong communication skills, with fluency in both English and Mandarin.

· Proficiency in web design or graphic design, with the ability to create visually engaging presentations and marketing materials.
