Based in Singapore, the Manager Business Intelligence & Data Analytics position reports directly to the Head of Corporate Planning & Business Intelligence, in the Corporate Strategy Business Unit. In this role you will collaborate extensively with Customer Experience, Loyalty, and other Product Owners in the Alliance and in the member Airlines.
The Manager Business Intelligence & Data Analytics supports the Head of Products & Portfolio in overseeing the entire Star Alliance Business Intelligence initiatives. As a Manager of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes within the organization. You will lead initiatives on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting business data to provide actionable insights that contribute to corporate planning and improved operational efficiency. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills.
Job Summary
- Execute the development and implementation of data analysis processes and tools.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
- Interpret data trends, identify patterns, and provide actionable insights.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Collaborate with Digital & Technology and other BUs to maintain data quality standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in BI and data analytics tools.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance data analysis capabilities.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and provide support in translating business requirements into analytics solutions.
Your Profile
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in BI, data analytics, or a related role
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Data Science, or a related field; (MBA is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake).
- Knowledge of databases, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning is a plus.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the Airline and Alliances industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
- Experience or exposure to global business environments, with an understanding of international market trends and regulatory landscapes.
- High level of proficiency in English is essential, as it is the sole language used for communication with Star Alliance Member Airlines and other external stakeholders.
