In this role, you will contribute to the company by providing stable support to our vessels through timely supplies of ships’ equipment and repairs – enabling our vessels to achieve safe operations with proper inventory onboard for maintenance.
Job Description
· Request for Quotations and issue Purchase Orders in accordance with company’s approved list of vendors.
· Vessels will be allocated to staff to undertake and oversee Procurement duties (from RFQs, P.Os, to coordinating with vendors for completion of scheduled onboard repairs/spares/stores/Lub-oils to vessels).
· Staff will also be required to communicate closely with Technical and Marine superintendents for smooth arrangements.
· Liaise with vendors to resolve issues such as quality/quantity discrepancies, mis deliveries.
· Maintain purchasing records.
· Adhere to Company’s Standard Operating Procedures and audit requirements.
· Back-up during absence of teammates.
· Adhoc duties wherein required.
Job Requirement
• Minimum Diploma in related studies.
• Entry level are welcome to apply. Training is provided.
• 1 - 2 years' experience in Shipping Procurement industry is an added advantage.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and politely.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software.
• Proficient in oral and written communication skills in English language.
• Proactive and self-motivated in problem solving.
• Adhere to Company’s policies and procedures.
