Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Business Navigation Manager helps to navigate and steer IKEA to sustained long-term profitable growth by securing and continuously evolving an effective performance measurement framework consistent across all countries, to give a complete profit and loss overview.

You will also lead and coordinate country Business Navigators to support business performance and ensure financial independence. Additionally, you will promote lean, simple, and effective ways of working and support the organization in making sound investment decisions.

Your assignment

• In cooperation with the Country Navigators, Commercial Network Organization, Data & Analytics team and functional leads to develop & implement the principles, methods, and tools to create the best view on Ikano Retail’s performance of the IKEA business line.
• Work with Finance and Business Operations manager and to secure that developed principles are properly reflected in corporate Manuals and SOPs.
• Contribute actively to the creation of a consolidated view on actual performance of Ikano Retail (IKEA BL), identify areas for improvement, business potentials with commercial and operational insights to improve the accuracy of our budgeting and forecasting.
• Support the Reporting & Consolidation Manager in the coordination and stakeholder alignment for the IKEA Budget & Forecast (incl. SA) processes by creating organisation alignment on timeline & milestones as well as on central directions/ budget assumptions (e.g. budget frame).
• To review and challenge the country managers and BN’s on their IKEA country performance for actuals, forecast and budget ensuring all required commentaries are updated to deadline.
• Lead the creation of the goal and frame letters with the Country BN’s and confirming the basis of the incentive targets for the IKEA business line.
• Working together with Country Retail and BN managers to create and follow-up of long term (3, 5 &10 Years) financial plan for Ikano Retail.
• Develop and implement principles, methods, and tools to assess for Expansion investment opportunities and projects applied consistently across Ikano Retail (IKEA BL) markets at both pre-opening and post-opening stages.
• In cooperation with the respective Country BN Managers, follow-up on completed IKEA Expansion projects performance compared to Investment Request and identify possible areas for improvements.
• Support Ikano Retail (IKEA BL) global projects with financial simulations navigating towards best possible Return on investment as well as the best experience for Customers and Co-Workers.
• Be a manager for Manpower Navigation Manager, matrix partner for Country Business Navigation Managers and to represent Ikano Retail (IKEA BL) at IKEA CBF Forecasting Forum.
• Promote the use of business cases when identifying, evaluating, and acting on business opportunities.
• To analyse and evaluate benefits, costs and investments, looking at the business from all relevant perspectives, ensuring a good return on investment and qualitative business cases taking the macroeconomic indicators into account.

The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the end-to-end payment processes, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions that enhance payment operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and payment operations, to streamline payment workflows, reduce risks, and improve the overall efficiency of the payment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business needs related to payment operations, including payment processing, clearing, and settlement.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or improvement within payment processes. Propose solutions to enhance speed, accuracy, and security.
• Payment Systems Management: Work closely with payment platforms (ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, etc.), ensuring seamless integration and optimization of payment solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between payment operations teams, finance, compliance, and IT to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure payment processes adhere to relevant regulatory standards and organizational risk management frameworks.
• Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional requirements documents (FRD), user stories, and workflow diagrams. Generate periodic reports for management on payment trends, system performance, and operational efficiency.
• Project Support: Assist in project planning, resource allocation, testing, and post-implementation reviews for payment-related initiatives.
• Good understanding of ASIA/APAC Local Schemes, ISO standards, SWIFT, etc.

You will be responsible for applying your extensive hands-on project management towards project execution to successful system implementation, managing the project team (onshore and offshore), collaborating with different stakeholders at all levels, and managing deliverables to meet the program and project objective.

• A PMP or equivalent project management certification and has excellent knowledge of working in both waterfall and agile environment. Agile scrum master certification is a plus.
• Solid familiarity with project management software tools; project management techniques; service management & development lifecycle.
• Deep business domain and technical experience in payments platform and solutions is a must.
• Good understanding of ASIA/APAC Local Schemes, ISO standards, SWIFT, etc.
• Experience in managing / implementing large scale projects and programs across multiple geographies
• Experience in system/software development, prior experience in coding will be advantageous.

Team Summary

The Consumer Solutions group manages the deployment and optimization of Visa’s core products base consisting of Credit, Debit and Prepaid payments solutions as well as Engagement Solutions and the benefits platforms that function across all product categories – together, these are Visa’s core products. The team is also responsible for the development and deployment of innovation across this product suite. To do this, we work in close partnership with Visa clients and key internal and external stakeholders. We are also the team responsible for leading the transition of conventional card-based solutions onto digital form factors, ensuring Visa payments solutions remain the market-leading way for consumers to spend their money and manage their payments across the Asia-Pacific region

What the SD, Head of Core Product Management does at Visa:

Reporting to the Head of Consumer Solutions, AP, the Head of Core Product Management will be responsible for initiatives across four broad areas of responsibility

1. Management of established core products - Credit, Debit and Prepaid to maximize operational efficiency in managing these established platforms
2. Identification and development and execute initiatives to drive expansion of Visa’s consumer credit portfolio, in line with the Visa 2030 strategy, driving growth in associated PV and revenue across.
3. Facilitate Visa’s thought leadership in the AP payments industry through promulgation of Core Product best practices.
4. Sourcing and management of Visa’s core cardholder benefits, across mass, affluent and x-border

The role-holder will lead a team of direct line reports in Singapore and works closely with Core Product teams across AP, responsible for evolving and building end-to-end consumer experiences that drive client preference for Visa as a strategic partner and make us an enabler of superior value propositions for digitally-enabled consumers.

An essential part of Visa’s success is the establishment and application of rules and standards, to ensure a uniform, reliable point-of-sale UX, both online and offline. The Head of Core Product Management will lead the efficient administration of these Rules and Standards as they pertain to Core Products, ensuring that the Rules are fit-for-purpose, while also ensuring their efficient operation and administration.

The role-holder will be responsible for the identification, development, commercialization and launch of new ways to grow the consumer unsecured credit business in AP, working closely with issuers and internal Global counterparts to expand “credit-card” issuance, as well as newer ways of efficiently facilitating the provision of unsecured credit, for example BNPL or other methods.

In addition, the SD, will manage Visa’s cardholder benefits such as merchant and partner benefits, Visa Concierge, Insurance and Visa Luxury Hotel Collection, as well as Core VAS (Value Added Services) service lines such as GCAS (Global Customer Assistance Services), Lounge referrals, Visa Customized Benefits, and the capabilities that support the delivery of these benefits and services. This includes the identification of Visa’s Concierge and Lounge strategy.

As part of this role, the Head of Core Product Management will also be responsible for facilitating the gathering, analysis and promulgation of best practices and recommendations for optimal Core Consumer Product performance both internally within Visa, and as a thought-leader externally, working closely with Visa Consulting & Analytics. 

You will need to be highly collaborative and will be the key interface between the market teams and Visa’s global team to ensure our platforms drive product differentiation, consumer activation and engagement

As well as working with in-market, client-facing teams, your team will work closely with the Global counterparts, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, Pricing, Legal.
