Job responsibilities:
Review and revise the Safety Management System for continual improvement.
Review, establish and upkeep the Safe Work Procedure and Risk Assessment for the main contractor, sub-contractors and suppliers based on 5x5 risk matrix.
Conduct safety training related to the activity based on Safe Work Procedure / Risk Assessment.
Ensure risk assessments for all work activities are conducted and propose recommendation and also, review them when necessary.
Conduct monthly WSH Committee Meeting and put up safety reports including safety indices.
Enforce house rules on all stake holders and take action when necessary for non-compliance.
Work closely with the project team to eliminate security, safety, health and environment hazards.
Establish, review, update and improve Workplace Safety And Health (WSH) procedures, measures and policies in accordance to statutory requirements.
Ensure legal compliance to all statutory safety and environmental regulations and timely submission of mandatory documents.
Monitor, update and improve company's BizSafe, safety management system, safety manual, client's safety procedure etc.
Conduct investigations of WSH infringements and industrial accidents and recommend remedial actions. to prevent recurrence.
Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all corrective actions taken
Responsible for all incidents reporting and investigation and ensure comply with legal requirement
Facilitate and conduct internal auditing, to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards, GGB, ConSASS and Bizsafe.
Lead and manage emergency situation, project safety personnel and manage site WSH matters for both, the Company and sub-contractors.
Supervise and provide guidance to the security operations.
Guide and train the Site Emergency Response Team (SERT) and also, organize drills.
Oversee the management of companyâs fire alarm and protection
Audit equipment, machineries and assets regularly to ensure that they are in good working condition and equipped with safety protection.
Assess and analyze potential risks and make recommendations when new / second hand equipment and machineries are purchased for use.
Implement safety campaigns to promote and inculcate safety culture.
Liaise with MOM, NEA, PUB and other relevant authorities on all WSH issues.
Any other duties that may be assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum a second-class honours degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering or relevant field preferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
MOM registered WSH Officer and Fire Safety Manager
NEA registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
Certificate in QEHS Internal Auditing (ISO9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001)
Familiar with regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, and all other aspects of safety
Possess high level of initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
