Job Summary

The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing our IT platforms and applications. This role requires a dynamic, resourceful individual with strong IT programming and database management skills. He/she will also need remote and onsite technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues to ensure the IT systems function well.

Key Responsibilities

1) System Management and Maintenance:

a) System Maintenance (API/Web/Mobile):

- Regularly update IT platforms and applications to ensure compatibility with the latest operating system versions. - Enhance performance and optimize existing features.

b) Security Patching:

- Apply security patches timely to protect against vulnerabilities.

- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks.

c) Bug Fixes and Troubleshooting: - Identify and resolve system bugs or operational issues.

- Dedicated support for troubleshooting issues.

d) Database Management: - Perform regular backups of application data to prevent loss.

- Perform database recovery in case of data loss or corruption.

e) Restoration of Web/Mobile Application:

- Restore web and mobile applications in the event of the service outage.

2) System Enhancement

a) Implementation of New Modules or Functionalities:

- Develop and implement new system modules or functionalities as required.

b) Code Review, Refactor, and Optimization:

- Conduct regular code reviews to identify and correct inefficiencies and security issues.

- Refactor code to improve functionality and maintainability.

- Ensure adherence to the latest coding standards for high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Minimally a Diploma in Information Technology, Software/Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Knowledge and experience working on 3-tier system architecture, Express NodeJS, ReactJS, and Flutter.

• Familiarity with Amazon AWS services, such as EC2 and RDS.

• Strong problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Strong communication skills, providing technical support to end-users with different levels of tech savviness.

1. Overseeing Night Operations: Supervise and manage night shift activities on construction sites to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

2. Coordination of Site Activities: Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow during night operations, resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise.

3. Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct regular inspections during night shifts to ensure

compliance with safety regulations, construction codes, and quality standards, providing timely feedback and corrective actions as necessary.

4. Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources efficiently during night shifts, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.

5. Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients or stakeholders regarding night shift progress, updates, and any concerns, maintaining open and transparent communication to address inquiries or issues promptly.

6. Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and procedures during night operations, conducting safety briefings, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of night shift activities, including daily reports, incident logs, and progress updates, to track project milestones and provide comprehensive documentation for project evaluation and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for the successful & effective project management inclusive of planning, implementation, execution, scheduling, monitoring and handover within specified schedule, budget and meeting client’s quality and relevant regulatory requirements.

· Responsible for project budget controls, tracking of expenditures and effectively manage & reduce the costs of delivering projects.

· Critical scrutiny of contract documents and drawings, communicate effectively & negotiate with consultants, clients, authorities, contractors on engineering, contractual matters, and project implementation.

· Review the overall productivity and provide recommendations for improvement.

· Ensure health & safety and regulatory compliance in accordance with all applicable & permit standards & requirements.

· Responsible for the submission of monthly progress reports.

· Define clear role & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all the Team members.

· Monitor & supervise the Teams to ensure full compliance at works.

Requirements

· Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore will be an advantage.

· Minimally have completed 1 cycle of a project with project value of $50M and above.

· Minimum 6 years relevant project management experience in local construction industry.

· Possess excellent leadership, planning, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills to lead a team of engineers and manage subcontractors.

· Candidates with LTA & PUB project experiences will be an advantage.

· Able to take on numerous challenging tasks while simultaneously meeting high standards and deadlines / vision.

· Highly motivated, driven by excellence and having an eye for details.

· Proficient in MS Project.

· Able to start work on a short notice will be an advantage.
