RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate the maintenance and operations of M&E services including mechanical servicing and repair work.
• To liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors on the progress of M&E works.
• Supervise subcontractor’s works according to design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements and local codes and regulations.
• Liaise and work with relevant authorities / subcontractors / clients on shop drawings / equipment submissions, inspections, testing requirements and commissioning.
• Adhere to construction procedures and safe work practices and ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship.
• Prepare and conduct technical and coordination meeting for M&E part.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of working experience in M&E services in construction industry

Job Responsibilities :

• Planning, developing and buying of materials, parts, supplies and equipments.
• Preparation and processing of purchase orders according to technical and engineering specification.
• Sourcing for vendors to ensure capability, costing, capacity and On-Time-Delivery.
• Evaluate and negotiate contract terms on pricing and product quality.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
• Perform data entry on incoming materials and conduct verification of delivery order, purchase order and other documentation for finance processing.
• Co-ordinate with suppliers and site supervisors for delivery, track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle overseas shipment, prepare packing list to project team and ensure correct quantity is received on site.
• Matching PO, DO and invoices and raise query if there is any discrepancies.
• Maintain good PO system and have periodic system update in terms of supplier, price, product etc.

Job Requirements :

• Minimum Diploma in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent..
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Good negotiation and coordination skills.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts contract and subcontract formation and contract administration activities on a wide range of contracts/subcontracts, from initial tender through performance and including closeout.
• Coordinates submission and negotiation of tenders and quotes, in conjunction with program management and other internal teams.
• Drafts contractual agreements and subcontracts; edits terms and conditions and flow-down requirements to subcontracts based on prime contracts consistent with company Legal and Contract policies.
• Negotiates a variety of contractual documentation with customers, working directly with a team of cognisant functional department personnel in conducting the negotiations to assure the contracts/subcontracts are of maximum benefit to Cubic and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate securities, guarantees and bond requirements from banks, parent companies and other external security providers
• Monitors the status of all contract deliverables for compliance with contract requirements.
• Resolves issues regarding contractual performance, including claims, extensions of time, variations, and terminations.
• Manages project related subcontracts to ensure compliance with terms, including schedule and scope of work.
• Develops subcontract mitigation plans for key subcontracts to ensure program continuity.
• Primary point of contact for prime contract/subcontract and project personnel and is responsible for all contract/subcontract incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Collaborates with program management to develop effective strategies and recommendations to management for resolution of contractual issues.
• Interacts with, confers, briefs, and makes recommendations to management regarding the progress and impact of potential contract and subcontract-related activities on the project. Prepares contract and subcontract reviews and reports on issues.
• Observes all legal/ regulatory compliance requirements and practices for assigned responsibilities, including import/export licensing requirements.
• Remains current on legal/regulatory updates affecting contracts and agreements
• Mentors more junior members of the team

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

• 8 years-experience in contracts and subcontracts management
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated leadership ability in Contract Management for various types of contracts for both commercial and federal government customers, ranging in size from $1M to in excess of $50M
• Thorough knowledge of prime/subcontract formation and administration activities, and proven ability to effectively negotiate terms, conditions and price
• Ability to provide workable solutions to address a wide variety of contractual challenges.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Desirable:

• Experience in international contracts
• Experience in construction management or quantity surveying
