Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager (Corporate Finance), Group Finance
Job Overview:
As a member of the team, you will be part of a diverse and global team at the forefront of creating cargo solutions to enable more agile, resilient and sustainable supply chains. Experience first-hand and drive supply chain transformation from Singapore through client’s global network of ports, logistics and supply chain solutions.
The department which is currently part of the Group Finance Office, will support the Head of Department and Group CFO in the management of the Group business portfolio and review within the Group. Our client is looking for a dynamic team player to join the team.
The role will provide ample learning and working opportunities with cross-department teams and exposure to senior management as well.
Job Scope:
- Be responsible in creating and maintaining the data platform for corporate finance services to be made accessible and available to various collaborators as well as senior management.
- Build, design and maintain the project management database to incorporate financial valuation data and information (e.g., Projected financials, business/operational/valuation metrics and indicators), using data warehouses as well as dashboards for, tracking presentations and communications for business development projects from which actual deliverables are matched.
- Contribute to the design and building of useful dashboards to provide visualisation and regular insights to senior management regarding performance of business portfolios.
- Coordinate with relevant departments in the collation of data for upload/regular refresh into the database, check and ensure data integrity and uniformity.
The above will involve working closely with cross-department teams in Group/Region Finance and Group Technology as well as the Business regions and units. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the process, including to propose and implement ways to transform improve portfolio management and financial valuation processes.
- Responsible to setup and maintain templates and references (both internal and external resources), in conjunction with Group Business Development as relevant to provide useful guidance and insightful information. Also support the department and collaborate with Business Development teams in enabling the learnings and development within the Group.
- Assist in providing data analysis support of portfolio performance review which includes review financial models and data collated (e.g., investigate the “why” behind trends and observations). Other projects and reviews may be assigned to assist the other team members in department from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- A good degree or higher qualification from a recognised university, with preference in Accountancy, IT/Analytics, Banking/Finance, Economics.
- 5 years of working experience with financial analysis and data management and visualisation.
- Some experience/knowledge using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power B1, Snowflake) in designing dashboards as well as financial valuations.
- IT savviness and high proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Supply chain or maritime business knowledge will be advantageous.
- Data analytics knowledge and skills will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills. Curious, demonstrates logical reasoning and able to see the connections between things.
- Good communication skills (oral and written). Able to build relationships with different stakeholders.
- Result oriented and organized. Able to work under pressure and meet important timelines.
- Proactive, adaptable and a keen learner, open to feedback and self-improvement.
- Highly responsible with keen sense of ownership. Able to work effectively both in a team as well as independently.
