With supervision from the managers and partners, your primary focus is to ensure that corporate secretarial duties are executed based on the relevant professional requirements and on a timely basis, such as:

• Assist to maintain and prepare documentation for our clients for compliance with the Singapore Companies Act. The preparation of documentation includes those documents required for the annual and extraordinary general meetings of our clients, the board resolutions, strike off process, etc
• Assist in the lodgment of returns to Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)
• Ensure statutory and compliance issues are met

• Help to-ordinate all IP related tasks for The LEGO Group in the following APAC Market areas: SEA and ANZ, as well as others as needed.

• In close collaboration with the VP of China & APAC and other LCR team members in China and APAC, drive and support the IPR enforcement agenda for APAC.
• Manage internal and/or external stakeholder relationships to optimize work effectiveness, including building working relationships with external IP Counsel.
• Demonstrate a high-level of collaboration, knowledge- sharing and process optimization to accomplish tasks.
• Conduct IP training to diverse groups, across the company and to external third parties and government officials, and do effective marketing of the work done in IP enforcement in APAC through internal Yammer posts and articles.
• Document legal processes and work output, so as to further develop and use data, in legal knowledge management tools, such as iManage and Anaqua.

The focus of the LCR China & APAC team is to

• Drive and support all legal tasks in our region, like IPR and corporate matters.

Do you have what it takes?

• Law School Degree (J.D., LL.M. or equivalent) is preferred
• Minimum 6-8 years of (postgraduate) legal experience from an in-house role at a global company or law firm position, with a specialty in Intellectual Property Law, including, but not limited to: Trademark, Copyright and Unfair Competition Law issues.
• Proven track record in IP litigation management.
• Proven track-record in IP enforcement matters and stakeholder management.

• Accounts Receivable:
  • Generate customer invoices, credit/debit note and posting entries in the TMS.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities against assigned credit limit/term.

• Process and Systems Improvement:
  • Ensure proper documentation of new operational processes and workflows.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline existing credit control processes and improve efficiencies through a better utilization of automated systems.
  • Work with functional groups and IT to improve the billing processes and involve in User Acceptance Test (UAT) for any new system implementation.
