RESPONSIBILITIES

BW Group is seeking an SOX Executive to join our SOX Team with the responsibility to design and implement SOX controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") regulations. Your primary focus will be on understanding end-to-end business processes and controls, including identifying control design gaps and testing operating effectiveness of controls. Job Description

• To acquire IP (intellectual property) rights from external companies to collaborate with our card games
• Ensure that license acquisition is in line with the development and production of our card games
• Source and identify new business opportunities from companies whose IP will fit into our game
• Negotiate and execute new/renewable license agreements to comply with contractual requirements for product titles and maximize revenue opportunities
• Negotiate royalty and minimum guarantees with companies for their IP
• Create and manage licensing business documents, process and records in both Japanese and English, including, but not limited to, licensing agreements / contracts administration, rights management, product release calendars, tracking of payment and royalties, facilitating of additional copyright licenses as necessary

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field
• At least 2 years of work experience in a relevant field
• Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, both written and oral, in order to liaise with Japanese speaking associates in Japan (Has JLPT N1, or experience with using Japanese language in business settings preferred)
• Excellent at schedule management and multi-tasking
• Adept at working both independently and in a team
• Effective decision-making skills, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous and attentive to detail
• Has basic knowledge of games and/or anime
• Open to work on some weekends/public holidays for Company events
• Open to travel overseas for business trips when required

Key Accountabilities

1. Work closely with the business to thoroughly understand the key performance drivers, proactively challenge decisions, manage performance, set financial targets, and provide explanations for variances

2. Engage the business units to design, develop and implement value-added business analytics

3. Work with the business to create the 5 year financial plan in line with the Annual Budget Timetable

4. Provide monthly forecasts and ensure they are built around valid assumptions.

5. Prepare the monthly Business Performance Review pack and quarterly Board papers

6. Work with the Financial Control team to ensure the data in the ERP system or management reports is complete and accurate

7. Support the FCF testing for the Group to ensure compliance of all corporate processes and relevant accounting policies

8. Produce all ad-hoc reports and decision support analysis as requested by management

The role

As a New Business Manager, you will drive business development efforts and acquire new customers in the Medtech & Healthtech industry. You would be selling IT and digital service offerings (including Data and AI) to buying centers in medical devices, consumer health and healthtech companies. Our goal is to sustainably expand our customer base across Singapore, Hong Kong and South East Asia.
