Role Overview:

As the Executive for Infrastructure and Sustainability at Defence Collective Singapore (DCS), you will support the development, management, and sustainability performance of DCS infrastructure projects. This role involves assisting in long-term master planning, ensuring operational efficiency of facilities, and delivering sustainability initiatives. You will report directly to the Infrastructure & Sustainability Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure & Facilities Planning:Collaborate with the Senior Manager and Director to assist in the master planning, development, and engineering of DCS infrastructure facilities and sustainability projects.
   Contribute to the formulation of strategies for the development of new and existing facilities, aligning with DCS’s future growth plans.
   
2. Sustainability Reporting & Management:Implement DCS’s sustainability strategies, including setting and operationalizing roadmaps for energy, water, waste, and carbon management.
   Work on sustainability reporting projects, aligned with the Singapore Green Plan, including data collection, analysis, and dashboard creation for sustainability performance tracking.
   
3. Project Management & Engineering:Assist with the management and tracking of engineering projects, such as Green Mark, Super Low Energy Building, and Positive Energy Building certifications and Infrastructure upgrading projects.
   Manage vendor relationships and oversee infrastructure enhancements, focusing on sustainability aspects.
   
4. Operations Support:Ensure that all facilities/infrastructure operations (including sustainability, business continuity, workplace safety, and exhibition/museum space management) are executed efficiently.
   Lead operational activities in utilities, waste, and carbon management to meet DCS’s sustainability targets.
   
5. Stakeholder & Change Management:Work with various internal and external stakeholders to align operational objectives with sustainability goals.
   Assist in driving change management strategies to support sustainability initiatives within DCS.
   
6. Ad-hoc Duties:Undertake additional projects or tasks as required to support DCS infrastructure and sustainability goals.
   

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Degree or Diploma in Built Environment, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
• Ideally, 3 years of experience in engineering and sustainability.
• Passionate about sustainability, climate change, and energy/resource management.
• Knowledge of BCA Green Mark and PUB Water Efficiency Management Plan.
• Familiarity with global sustainability frameworks such as UN SDGs and GRI is advantageous.

4. Liaise closely with customer, plant operator on order status and loading schedule
5. Planning and deployment of task to driver with ensuring the given KPI met and to control and maintain smooth operation throughout job supply till completion
6. Prioritize urgent request and ensure deliveries are made on time
7. Prepare and check all shipping documents processing via Portnet & Jurong Port online ensure that they are complete and comply with customers requirement to ensure deliveries are fulfiled.
8. Check and verify driver's and supply team trips forms with deployment after job completion
9. Attend to customer's enquiries relating to document, e.g. delivery receipts / proof of delivery within lead time given
10. Ensure all drivers are aware of specific customer requirements and monirot GPS tracking system to keep track of the progress that drivers make along the assigned routes
11. Handles customer feedbacks, other administrative issues and perform any other duties as required by Transportation Manager
12. Incident / investigation report submission when there is a requirement
13. Able to handle fleet of Prime Movers and Drivers
14. To stnadby / handle 24/7 duty phone (rotation) during operations.

Requirements:

• GCE A level or Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management
• At least 3 years relevant experience in 3rd party logistics, preferably in Traffic Planning and work force planning & allocations
• Good communication skills (both verbal & written) and excellent organizational abilities
• Capable to work independently and complete daily work following timeline and given deadline with minimum supervision
• Able to work under pressure during peak periods & willing to take responsibility and accountability of their role
• Capable of identifying and suggsting improvements
• Willing to work on 24/7 stand by to answer agent/client query on supply status
• Is a team player as we work very closely with team memebers
• Execellent MS Office skills: Word, Powerpoint, Excel

• Upkeep and repair all equipment and machinery onboard vessel.
• Ensure the maintenance and submersible barges comply to statutory regulations, company, and charterer requirements.
• Evaluate and improve the cost efficiency on pricing for stores and spares parts required for fleet of vessels and barges.
• Coordinate with suppliers on the delivery of items for fleet of vessels and barges.
• Review and improve the working instructions and tasks execution process.
• Provide support to Operations Department in outdoor field works such as surveys and new build delivery etc.
• Assist to disseminate clear instructions to Master and engineer onboard vessel.
• Assist in the delivery of vessels and support vessel inspection by Clients, Tow surveyors and MWS.
• To coordinate all harbour movement of owned and 3rd party vessels and barges.
• Maintain proper records of sailing instructions, delivery orders, towering gears and testing documents.
• Liaise with Maritime regulators and ensure smooth flow of vessel related certificates.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.
