Job Purpose

The Manager ensures that all mechanical and electrical projects are completed successfully, meeting client requirements, safety standards and within the allocated budget and timeline. The Manager is instrumental in coordinating all aspects of the project from planning to execution, to deliver a reliable and functional mechanical, electrical or a combination of both systems.

Responsibilities

1) Project Planning – The Manager is involved in the planning phase of the projects, collaborating with other stakeholders to determine project scope, objectives, timelines and budget constraints. He/she work to understand the specific requirements of the project and create a comprehensive project plan.

2) Design and Engineering – The Manager is responsible for collaborating with the design team or design vendor(s) to ensure that the designs are well-engineered and meet the necessary technical specifications. He/she needs to understand electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams and other technical documentation.

3) Procurement – The Manager may e required to be involved in the procurement of necessary equipment, materials and components that are required for the project. He/she will have to ensure that the materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time to the work site.

4) Safety and Compliance – Safety is of utmost importance for Donjon Pte Ltd. The Manager ensures that all work is carried out following safety regulations and industry best practices. They also ensure that the work complies with relevant codes and standards.

5) Resource Management – The Manager is responsible for coordinating resources, including general labour, equipment and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. He/she will be required to handle scheduling and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.

6) Quality Control – Throughout the project, the Manager monitors the quality of work being done, conducts inspections and ensures that the work meet the required quality standards.

7) Problem Solving – In the course of the project(s), unexpected challenges and issues may arise. The Manager plays a crucial role in identifying and resolving these problems to keep the project on track.

8) Communication – The Manager serves as a point of contact between various stakeholders, including clients, project managers/director, contractors and the engineering team. They provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns and facilitate effective communication.

9) Documentation – Keeping detailed records and documentation of the project’s progress is essential. The Manager maintains accurate documentation including reports, drawings, change orders and other relevant paperwork. He/she will also have to ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing process.

• Drive and manage project end to end delivery including requirement, design, testing, deployment

Our client is a Manufacturing MNC. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Laboratory Technician to be part of their Labortory Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.

Duties of Laboratory Technician:

• Assist in routine lab tasks such as paint preparation, panel setup, and airless spray applications.
• Conduct sampling, testing, and analysis for paint products.
• Support chemists in development projects, including managing stock levels for panels, raw materials, and lab supplies.
• Participate in trial applications and inspections outside the lab under supervision.
• Handle non-chemical waste disposal and maintain a safe work environment by following ISO, safety, and environmental standards.
• Communicate progress or delays effectively with the line manager.
• Ensure workplace safety, especially in handling chemicals, and follow preventive measures to reduce risks.

Reporting directly to the Senior VP, Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in scaling IRVINS procurement globally. You will develop a broad knowledge of the business, and be a responsible functional lead in deploying relevant analytics and strategy to supply the best-priced, quality products and solutions for the business.

Management Responsibilities

• Lead and build an efficient Procurement team and processes to achieve business goals.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data & prepare control strategies
• Control spend & build a culture of long term saving on procurement costs
• Support Head of Supply Chain in strategy development and execution of procurement objectives, in maximizing efficiency, reliability, timeliness, cost-effectiveness of our supply chain.

Operations & Process Management

• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Work with respective functions to ensure clarity of specifications and expectation of the company
• Document and follow through all procurement commitments e.g. timely renewal of supply contracts, tender management etc.
• Establish and govern efficient procurement and purchasing processes for all direct and indirect materials including NPI sourcing and purchase, with sign off from relevant stakeholders. This includes relevant process set-up for New Supplier evaluations and on-boarding, SLA, new SKU listings etc..
• Tracking of savings against target
• Assist in internal and external audits as needed.

Supplier & Pricing Management

• Research suppliers / vendors that need the goal of the company
• Ensure new suppliers comply to business expectations and requirements, following a standard New Supplier Checklist and Supplier On-boarding Checklist that is agreed upon with key internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, understand their core capabilities and perform negotiations as required.
• Responsible for New Supplier process and overall supplier network.
• Lead Supplier Performance Review with inputs from cross-functional stakeholders, including the development of Supplier Scorecard and annual business review schedules.
• Act as 2nd escalation point for supplier non-conformance issues and ensure timely resolution e.g. late and/or missing deliveries, material quality issues etc.
• Conduct periodical supply risk assessment, propose and test adequate countermeasures.

Continuous Improvements & Reporting

• Develop and maintain relevant KPIs and reporting to drive visibility, transparency and improvements in supply cost and risk management.
• Establish processes with relevant stakeholders to reduce slow moving and obsolete stocks.
• Participate in or lead Procurement, Supply Chain or relevant business initiatives and reporting, as needed.
