Role Overview

As a Centre Development & Communication Specialist (Robotics Education), you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our Jurong East Centre, while occasionally supporting the Punggol branch. This is a hands-on role where you’ll assist both students and parents, providing exceptional service in a dynamic, technology-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage enquiries from students and parents in person, via phone, or email.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for the center.
• Assist in scheduling, inventory management, and general administrative duties.
• Support trainers and ensure smooth coordination between staff and students.
• Occasionally travel to other locations for meetings or to cover absent staff.
• Work on weekends, as this is the busiest period.

Who We Are Looking For

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Experience in administrative roles is an advantage.
• Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel) and Google Drive.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work on weekends and occasionally travel to other centres for work.

Working Hours

• 5½-Days' Work Week: Weekdays (Mon, Thu, Fri) from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM; Tuesday from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
• Weekends (Sat & Sun) from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
• One-hour break on weekends and 30-minute breaks on other weekdays (except Tuesday).

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage Centre Operations: Oversee and ensure the quality and smooth functioning of the centre’s activities and services. Oversee children’s meals and routine care as well as tutoring them in their homework, spelling and assessments.
• Staff Leadership: Provide direction and support to staff, fostering a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment.
• Activity Planning: Organize and coordinate engaging activities and holiday programs for children.
• Character-Building Programs: Develop and implement programs focused on character development for youth.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
• Referral and Assistance: Identify and refer children and families to appropriate resources and support services when needed.
• Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Work with other departments to create and deliver programs that address the needs of children effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum Polytechnic Diploma with 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Candidates with prior experience in giving Tuition Lessons or possess both English and Mandarin content knowledge for primary level homework guidance preferred

Programme Management

• Key contact person for assigned programmes to coordinate and ensure smooth delivery of all assigned programmes.
• Ensure LMS course pages are set up in a timely manner.
• Provide prompt and accurate information and updates to students and relevant stakeholders.
• Support Lecturers on admin matters.
• Release of Examination information to current students.
• Monitor validity of student pass for international students.

Student Services

• Organize and conduct orientation for new students.
• Prepare and disseminate confirmed start classes / start term information.
• Work closely with CMs to resolve student issues.
• Process re-enrolment, re-exam, deferments, extensions, exemptions, programme transfer, withdrawal.

Data Management

• Monitor student payment of course fees.
• Process student refunds.

Exams

• Liaise with Exam Centre for main and re exams (if applicable).
• Prepare examination nominal roll for Exam Centre.

Events Support

• Assist Reporting Officer in the running of events.

Others

• Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in any discipline with at least a year of experience.
• Meticulous and self-motivated with strong organisation skills.
• Possess good time management and administration skills.
• Able to work individually and as a team player with customer-oriented mindset and good communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure in fast-paced work environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Prior experience in Private / Education Industry preferred.
