Your team

Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, you will a key member the Hair Care Research & Development organization. How success looks like

Success in this role pertain to quickly delivering technical qualification of new product manufacturing to meet quality requirement of Beauty Care GMP while building capability of our future manufacturing partner in Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process qualification of new hair care product technology at manufacturing scale in partnership with product supply functions, manufacturing partner companies and suppliers to deliver innovations to market.
• Manage initiative execution and lead manufacturing systems validation including aspect of Regulatory & QA compliance, microbiology daily management, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and overall operations. Provide training and build technical capability at manufacturing site of our partner in Vietnam.
• Perform in the lab / pilot plant scale experiment to assess product performance, formulation stability and partner with technologist to identify, assess, and communicate technical risk in manufacturing process among stakeholders.
• Recommend technical interventions, robust solutions, and contingency plan.
• Lead process optimization for cycle time reduction and yield improvement.
• Lead manufacturing automation process to improve reliability and minimize lot to lot variation.

Job Requirements

• Minimium Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering related fields
• 5+ years’ experience in FMCG Manufacturing Process Design & Qualification in the beauty category
• Mastery in manufacturing process Design & qualification according to Beauty Care product GMP requirement
• Demonstrated track of record for manufacturing system start up (i.e. Process Validation, Cleaning & Sanitation Validation)
• Proven capability for technical troubleshooting, process optimization for cycle time reduction/yield improvement and automation improvement for Beauty Care manufacturing

Key Accountabilities/Duties

(1) To provide agency with Data Center Operations function to assist agency in managing the day-to-day data center operations activities which covers the areas such as :

(2) Scope of Works

• To ensure the DC and equipment are in functioning and operational condition, report if there is equipment fault.
• To assist to perform site preparations and liaise with the relevant vendors on tasks such as IT rack mount plan, structure network cabling system, power supply and electrical wiring, airconditioning, UPS and etc when required.
• To plan, coordinate and execute any shutdown and power up machines (according to operation manual and SOP) when required by the Customer, to facilitate the activities related to electricity, power maintenance and enhancements. The service shall include polling the possible affected parties, obtaining the approval from the Customer’s Representative and sending out the broadcast messages.
• To ensure that all trouble-shooting, upgrade, maintenance work and any other activities that affect data center availability must be carried out after operating hours and/or over the weekend at no additional cost to the Customer. All urgent faulty parts replacement of the equipment shall seek approval from the Customer’s Representative. The list of warranty and/or maintenance contract and documentation is covered under Server Management Services.
• To ensure all technical and operational issues, that will affect the daily operations of data center, be resolved within the stipulated Service Levels.
• To advise and propose improvements to the current processes or procedures for better efficiency and to improve the security of the data center. However, such proposals shall be subjected to the review and approval of the Customer.
• To monitor the environmental equipment in the Data Centre to ensure that they are within acceptable operating level and take corrective actions to rectify any defects affecting the following:

a) Main and Backup Incoming Power Supply

b) Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

c) Cooling System (Air-conditioning) and Leakage Detection

d) Temperature and Humidity

e) Rack Space

f) Network Data/ Telecom Cabling

g) Fire Protection and Fire Alarm System Status

h) CCTV and Motion Detectors

i) Cleanliness and Tidiness

j) Equipment Movements and Storage Management

k) Secure Disposal of Media and Documentation

• To take pre-emptive measures to prevent any outage or single point of failure in the Data Centre due to environmental factors. This shall include monitoring of environmental equipment and follow-up with the Customer’s sub-contractors or building management to ensure that defects are identified and corrected.
• To ensure that all equipment in the Data Centre is serviced in accordance with the equipment servicing schedule.
• To provide 1st level onsite problem identification, problem reporting and vendor support after operating hours at no additional cost to the Customer in the event that any environment element fault alert is triggered after the operating hours.
• To liaise with the Customer’s Building Management Unit (BMU) at the Customer’s sub-contractors for the maintenance and servicing of the equipment in the Data Centre:

Overview of Role

The candidate is required to manage and lead:

• a team of NOC engineers in handling L1/L2 support which includes monitoring, ticketing and escalation, server patching, troubleshooting and handling service request.
• a team of Facility Administrators that supports and operates a secured network environment, and
• a team of DC (Data Centre) Operators that are deployed at customer’s Data Centre.

The DC Operator monitors operations within the data centre. He/She responds to common data centre infrastructure faults. He/She raises issues to data centre engineers and operations managers, based on incident management procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage 24x7 operations and personnel.
• Optimally plan and deploy shift roster. Ensure staffing is maintained and meet operational devilerables.
• Participate in audits.
• Keep processes and procedures updated.
• Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement.
• Provides leadership and coordination on projects assigned.
• Train, mentor and develop staff to ensure successful performance.
• Train and orientate new joiners and supervision of day-to-day operations as part of BAU.
• Support initiative for automation & enhancement.
• Ensure staff follows procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents according to Standard Operating Procedures and escalation matrix.
• Liaise between two or more parties/teams to communicate and coordinate activities (eg. power maintainence, workstation maintainence, access, connectivity issues).

• Manage the troubleshooting of major issues with NOC monitoring tools.

• Continuously improve and develop systems to proactively monitor the infrastructure being managed.
• Generate key reports for management including but not limited to; system availability, service level agreements, ticket resolution and customer issues.

Facilities Admin Related

• Ensure communication to customers are accurate.
• Ensure secured network facilities are available and ready for customer’s use

DC Operator Related

• Develop an understanding of cross-functional processes to support partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comply with security and data management procedures and policies.
• Maintain a strong client focus to understand the impact of their work when completing tickets and assigned tasks.
• Complete assigned tickets efficiently and in alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while meeting established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

• Diploma and above. Appropriate qualification in computing and networking related disciplines preferred.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to details, excellent team player and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong network troubleshooting, process workflow and communication skills are a requirement.
• Knowledge in data centre facility operations is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experiences in a 24x7 shift environment is an advantage.
• Certification in ITIL 4 is an advantage.
