• Lead and Support meetings regularly with contractors, specialist vendors and suppliers to ensure that required standards are established and maintained, and develop corrective action plans when, or if performance falls below expectations.
• Support daily cadence meetings, monthly operation meeting and quarterly business review with client

Ideal Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.
• Resourceful, analytical and problem-solving skill
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client, client stakeholders and vendor staff
• Possess relevant DC certifications
• Understands continuous improvement initiatives, client relationships and preparation of reports.Data Centre Operations Site Lead

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU’s and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure al regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
• Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

What You’ll Need:

• Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Build scalable and robust software systems using the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hive, HDFS, Yarn, and Spark.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines using PySpark, Scala, and HDFS file formats like Parquet and ORC.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Develop automation scripts for builds, deployments, and test frameworks.
• Work with data warehousing systems to handle large-scale datasets effectively.
• Monitor and optimize resource utilization with tools like Grafana and Control-M.
• Leverage scripting languages (Shell, Python) and tools like HortonWorks and SQL engines for efficient data processing.
• Incorporate Java and REST services development as needed for system integration.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Good understanding of concurrent software systems and building them in a way that is scalable, maintainable, and robust
• Experience in designing application solutions in hadoop ecosystem
• Deep understanding of the concepts in Hive, HDFS, yarn, Spark, Spark sql, Scala and Pyspark
• HDFS file formats and their use cases (eg Parquet, ORC, Sequence etc)
• Good knowledge in data warehousing system
• Experienced in any scripting language (SHELL, PYTHON)
• HortonWorks distribution and understanding on SQL engines (Tez, MR)
• Java/RestServices/Maven experience is a value addition
• Control-M development. Monitoring Resource utilization using Grafana Tool
• Good skillset to create automation scripts in Jenkins & knowledge in working on automating builds, test frameworks, app configuration etc
• Experience in implementing scalable applications with fully automated deployment and control using Bitbucket, Jenkins, ADO etc
  

Skillset:

o Mandatory: Big Data – Hive, HDFS, Spark, Scala, Pyspark.
o Good to have : Schedulers (Control-M), ETL Tool – Dataiku , Unix/Shell scripting , Knowledge of Integration services of FileIT/MQ and others , CI/CD tools – Jenkins, Jira, ADO Devops – tools suite , Oracle .
