The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Simulation.
• Strong emphasis on using CFD and other tools to allow the team in selection and characterization of protein-based formulation for thermo-mechanical extrusion for 3D printing of food. To ensure compatibility between the 3D-printing process and the protein-based edible inks, the design of the extrusion system is accompanied by comprehensive computational fluid dynamics CFD methods.
• FEM simulation and numerical methods allow optimization of material-formulation with respect to material-process interaction to ensure high printing quality and material compatibility. Simulations reduce the number of experiments required during process optimization. CFD methods allow analyzing the fluid flow characteristics and printing profile in relation to the rheological properties of the printing formulations.
• Optimization of 3D-printer’s software and employment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) towards 3D printing optimization and performance characterization
  
• Sensors study for Food Production.Overall responsible for various sensors study in the food production system which includes in-line monitoring and treatment systems. In-line printing optimization is integrated within the developed 3D-printing system. Texture variation study using sensors for 3D-printing of food.
  
• Publication & other Lab roles.To publish latest research findings in top journals and publications.
  Work closely with Co-Investigator in providing timely report for consortium.
  Managing equipment, supplies, and resources, including procurement and maintenance of lab equipment and replenish consumables required.
  

Job Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Exceptional CFD and FEM, sensors related and problem solving skills.
• Capable of working independently and within a team, while supervising other undergraduate and masters students working on their projects on related areas.
• Can communicate and present technically complex issues to multidisciplinary/multinational teams.
• Have a good engineering sense and aptitude.
• Have outstanding team management and leadership skills
• Experience in simulation work for 3D printing of food and sensors related work on food industry
• Fluent in use of CFD, FEM for simulation
• Strong publication record and demonstrators on candidate’s experience in the field
• Practical and hands-on, active self-learner and able to pay close attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English and verbal communication, have strong work ethic and can work independently and comfortably in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Design & model 3D skid system, skid structure, piping GA and other not mentioned shop drawing (cutting plan) for fabrication purpose
• Maintain proper record for drawings and information
• Proficient in operating CAD drawings software and drawing construction detailed design
• Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from Engineer
• Reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors before being sent to productions, vendors, engineers, etc.
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy
• Systematically saving sketches and drawings on CAD library, keeping the server organized; updating files as jobs progress and revisions are made
• Continually create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects
• Complete task assigned by superior and performing other relevant duties when needed

Job Description

Coordinating and resolve shipment issues

To communicate efficiently with customers, shipping lines, transport team, trucking partners and overseas offices in order to ensure smooth pickup/ delivery of the shipments

Ensure customer requirements are meet, customers are up-to-date on their orders and documentation is accurate and precise.

To ensure related charges are billed and collected timely from the consignee or its agent

Ensure all transactions are handled in an accurate, complete and timely manner

To effectively follow up with airlines/oversea offices on any short-landed, damaged or discrepancy cargo

Answering to customer's inquiries and handling customer's complaints.

Preparing of payment vouchers, verifications of vendor costings, closing of all shipment files and filling of documents.

Any other task assigned by the superior

Job Requirement

Knowledge in freight forwarding, import & export procedure and permit declaration.

Experience in Zero-GST Warehouse.

Possess good analytical skills and team player.

Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse environment.

• The Branch Manager will direct and supervise the staff and day-to-day operations in the assigned branch location, ensuring delivery of quality customer service and achievement of sales or productivity goals.

• Create strategies to ensure that sales targets are met.
• Prepare reports on sales.
• Create and maintain relationships with clients.
• Liaise with other branches to share strategies.

• To conduct QC inspection and record on all the incoming materials.
• To attend to any complaint from sites.
• To record all inspection results in the appropriate inspection records.
• To highlight to superiors all non-conformities found during inspections.
• To prepare all the Quality-related reports.
• Any other duties instructed by the Manager.
