The Technical Assistant typically has similar responsibilities to those of a technician but often works under the guidance and supervision of more experienced supervisors or engineers.

His duties generally include:

1. Assisting with Installation and Projects: Helping with installing and setting up equipment, machinery, or systems as directed by senior staff.
   Ensuring all installations meet specifications and safety standards.
   
2. Supporting Maintenance and Repair: Performing regular maintenance tasks to keep equipment and systems running smoothly.
   Helping troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise.
   
3. Conducting Testing and Calibration: Assisting in testing equipment and systems to ensure proper operation.
   Helping with the calibration of instruments and equipment to maintain accuracy.
   
4. Providing Technical Support: Offering support to customers or internal departments under the supervision of senior technicians.
   Assisting in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, either remotely or on-site.
   
5. Maintaining Documentation: Keeping accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
   Helping prepare reports and documentation related to technical work.
   
6. Ensuring Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
   Following safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
   
7. Assisting with Upgrading and Modifying: Helping upgrade or modify equipment and systems to improve performance or adapt to new requirements.
   Staying informed about the latest technology and industry trends.
   
8. Participating in Training: Assisting in training users or other technicians on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and systems.
   Participating in training sessions to enhance technical skills.
   
9. Managing Inventory:Assisting in managing inventory of parts and supplies needed for maintenance and repair work.
   Helping order new parts and supplies as necessary.
   
10. Collaborating with Team Members:Working closely with engineers, technicians, and other staff to solve complex problems and improve processes.
    Providing support in collaborative projects and tasks.
    

Opportunities

• Team Leader/Supervisor: Leading a team of technicians or assistants, managing projects, and overseeing daily operations.
• Engineer: Moving into management roles such as Assistant Engineer or Site Engineer, with broader responsibilities.

Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in performing daily tasks.

Supervise the work of subcontractors and internal workers.

Work closely with other field operations personnel to meet project schedules.

Ensure installation is performed as per construction drawings.

Monitor progress and quality of work performed by workers.

Ensure work is performed to acceptable standards of workmanship.

Participate in daily toolbox meetings and convey clear instructions accordingly.

Understand and ensure compliance with project requirements and scope of work.

Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field.

Highly motivated, self-motivated, team player, strong problem-solving and communication skills. .

Able to answer the phone 24 hours a day and be on call to the site at any time.

DUTIES

You shall devote your time, knowledge, skill and attention in the performance of your duties in and out of the company if the exigencies of the work so require, on Sunday and public holidays and at such hours as may be required.

You shall not during the continuance of this contract except with the knowledge and written consent from the company, engage or interest yourself whether for reward or gratuitously, in any activity which would interfere with the performance of your duties with this Company.

You must not, without the consent from the company remove any company's properties (including the deletion or removal of any company data) from the office.

You shall not disclose to any third party at all time during your service with the company or thereafter, any secrets, transactions or information in the company, which may come within your knowledge or possession in the course of your employment with the company.

To responsible for ensuring that precast products and construction is being promoted to developments, consultants and relevant parties

To responsible to coordinate with Technical and Finance department during the tendering exercise for relevant inputs

To ensure proper communication to all levels

To carry out any other duties in which the company may assign to you with prior notice by the Company

Requirements:

Possess Degree / Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering

Minimum 3 year proven track record in construction sales, ideally in structural or precast sector

Good knowledge and contacts within Singapore Construction sector

Preference will be given to those who can commence immediately

Preference will driving Class 3 license with/without own transport
