The Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Engineer applies engineering principles and techniques in a manufacturing environment to achieve organizational goals. Their responsibilities encompass ensuring the efficient operation of equipment through proper installation, maintenance, and implementation of network solutions for equipment capability monitoring, the roles and responsibility included but not limited to the following:
· Apply engineering principles and techniques to meet organizational objectives.
· Ensure proper installation and maintenance of equipment to minimize production delays.
· Implement network solutions for equipment capability monitoring.
· Lead equipment improvement projects and develop robust maintenance plans.
· Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
· Demonstrate strong communication skills to lead teams effectively.
· Mentor assistant engineers and foster a culture of safety and excellence.
· Adopt new technologies for equipment enhancement.
· Plan and track all maintenance works.
· Conduct technical presentations.
· Investigate root cause of equipment failures.
· Lead continuous improvement projects.
· Manage equipment monitoring and quality assurance system.
· Monitor facility performance data and establish control parameters.
· Provide training to enhance team competencies.
· Oversee routine servicing and repair teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Or Diploma with min.3 years of experience
Previous experience in equipment engineering or a similar role in similar environment.
Professional certification or licensure in engineering (where applicable).
Knowledge of relevant software tools for equipment monitoring and analysis.
Familiarity with quality assurance systems and maintenance best practices.
Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the industry.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects.
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on advancements in equipment technology and industry best practices.
