Requirements

3 Years of experience in IT Infrastructure

1 year of experience with any backup technology

Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline

Candidates with experience without relevant qualifications will be considered

Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux Operating Systems

Basic Knowledge of Relational Databases

Experience with Cloud Technologies will be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Pro-actively monitor, analyse, troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Coordinate with other NSCC technical personnel to optimize storage performance and scalability.
• Periodically monitor and conduct storage performance test and analisys, utilization rate and capacity planning.
• Maintain data protection and disaster recovery strategies.
• Exploring new solution and best practices in HPC storage technologies.
• Assist in designing the next phase of NSCC’s infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a Computational Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledgeable about parallel file systems and data management concepts.
• Experience with HPC parallel storage solutions such as Lustre, GPFS, or similar.
• Competency in a UNIX/Linux command line environment highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years in handling HPC storage related environments.

Responsibilities:

As a Amazon Cloud Platform Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and patching cloud application solutions that have been implemented by the client. You will work closely with other application teams such as Amazon Connect, ServiceNow and Service Analytics Team to ensure that these deployed applications operate optimally and are patched with the latest patches to resolve any CVEs according to the client security policy requirements. Troubleshooting and investigation of any reported issues is also a requirements and resolution will be required to meet the client SLAs/KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. Ensure all systems function efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. Conduct regular inspections and perform repairs as needed to maintain system reliability and performance.
• Analyze and optimize building systems to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall building performance.
• Manage and coordinate facility improvement projects, including system upgrades, renovations, and installations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans for building systems. Respond to emergency situations promptly and manage recovery efforts to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and compliance inspections.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Facilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities engineering, with a focus on commercial or Industrial buildings.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and project management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and energy management practices.
• Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
