Responsibilities:

• Independently handle engineering design for required piping components; Pipes, Flanges, Fittings, Valves, Special Items (i.e. Strainers, Traps, Flame Arresters, Rupture Disc, Filters etc.) required in project/plant in accordance with job specific requirements, in-house design standards, and applicable codes and standards such as ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME B16.34, API standards, NORSOK standards, British Standards, EN & ISO standards, MSS standards, NACE standards, ASTM standards with a certain skills of basic design development and detail design evaluation.
• Establish the activity schedule in Piping Material Design to meet and achieve Project Key Milestones, and control all Piping Material Design activities on schedule.
• Take the lead in the preparation of inquiry packages, in the technical clarification/evaluation of Vendor’s technical offers, and in the kick-off meeting/pre-inspection meeting with an inter-discipline collaboration.
• Prepare technical specifications including detail Piping Material Specifications, Design datasheets, detail design documentation & Inspection/Procedure documentation requests for required Piping Component Vendors as shown above.
• Provide assistance to create material database in SPMAT (Smart Plant Materials).
• Prepare technical bid evaluation, clarification with Vendors for technical confirmation for Piping Component Vendors as shown above.
• Selecting & recommending piping vendors from technical point of view to Procurement Team to issue purchase order.
• Check Vendor Documents, such as drawings, Test/Inspection procedures, Installation Procedures, Painting/Marking Procedures, for piping components such as indicated above.
• Review ITB (Instruction to Bidders), project specification, etc.
• Review of Isometric drawings, 3D Model review comments close-out.
• Study and implementation of ASME B31.3 Chapter IX requirements for high pressure piping.
