Job Description

JobTech is a product start-up looking to solve real world labour problems and deliver the best possible experience to our end users. We are looking for passionate and self-driven hands-on developers who can lead by example.

· Design, build and maintain webservices to deliver high availability and performance

· Design, build and maintain complex business rules engine in a production environment

· Implement and oversee DevOps framework and practices

· Own and take responsibility of end-to-end delivery of modules and deployments

· Work closely with our technical leaders to enhance software architecture and infrastructure.

· Collaborate with data scientists to seamlessly integrate the different analytics components

· Engage with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure customer success

· Maintain code quality, organization and automation. Set out design principles for the rest of the technical team

· Strategically plan ahead according to JobTech’s technology roadmap.

Requirements

· A self-starter that can thrive in a fast-paced environment

· At least 5 years of experience in the software development industry

· Advance proficiency in Java/J2EE and Python as well as Java libraries and frameworks such as Spring Boot

· Advance knowledge of database management and scaling: MariaDB, MongoDB. Experience working with cloud databases (e.g. RDS, BigTable) and GraphDB is an added advantage.

· Experience in building and optimising large scale systems including search and recommendation engines (ElasticSearch, Solr, Redis etc)

· Prior experience leading a software team (including experience with managing remote developers)

· Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Understand the process and practices related to GNC support Templates and Standard Operating Procedures
• Ownership on critical incidents for customers to deliver resolution with in SLA.
• Perform IOS upgrades and patches to fix software and ensure that the environment is bug/vulnerable free by keeping system with up-to-date software.
• Troubleshoot production issues and network/security problems to fix any infra related issues and work with principal vendors and customer to provide the resolution within the proposed timelines.
• Performing RMA for hardware failures and replacement in production environment
• Perform health checks for the critical environments and ensure the systems running up to the standard and no potential failures.
• Setup staging and simulation for customer activities for critical jobs before actual tasks in production environment.
• Working in 24/7 operations centre and standby role for after office hours support on monthly rotational basis
• Able to follow and meet customer SLA for all the incidents and requests / responsible for the service delivery
• Undertake escalation for Enterprise Networking related matters from level 1 helpdesk engineers, perform level 1/2/3 on site troubleshooting and hardware field replacement works for customers.
• Responsible for updating technical documentations for configuration changes made via helpdesks and/or managed services customers.
• Responsible for opening and closing of support tickets when applicable and providing timely updates to helpdesk personnel and customer for support cases that has been allocated to you

The Individual and their Experience:

• Knowledge of ITIL principles, particularly Incident, Change, Problem and Service Management
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experiences in network operations including network, wireless, security technologies.
• Experienced on working with vendors and customer on outage situation and provide direction to juniors and customer on recovering services affectively.
• Hands on experience in operations and BAU for fixing user/infra issues in production environment is essential.

2. Carries out CIP programs to extend product life cycle, enhance product competitiveness, improve gross margins and lower COO

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. At least a good Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, with a working knowledge on fundamental hardware and software design applications

2. Strong technical background in semiconductor related equipment development involving ultra-high precision, high speed mechanisms

3. Possess good technical drawing skills using either ProE/SolidWorks/Solid Edge.

4. Good knowledge in semiconductor packaging and assembly processes

5. Excellent systematic problem-solving ability using DFMEA or other tools

6. Experienced as a Technical leader with good project management skills and able to leverage on group dynamics to achieve breakthrough and results

• Min Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
