Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Pilates instructor to join our team. As a Pilates instructor, you will be responsible for leading group classes and providing individualized instruction to clients. Your main goal will be to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can improve their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being through the practice of Pilates.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct group Pilates classes, ensuring that participants are performing exercises correctly and safely.

- Provide individualized instruction and modifications to clients based on their fitness level, goals, and any specific needs or limitations.

- Demonstrate proper techniques and form for each exercise, and offer guidance and corrections as needed.

- Create and plan well-structured and engaging Pilates classes that cater to clients of different levels and abilities.

- Monitor clients' progress and provide feedback and encouragement to help them achieve their fitness goals.

- Maintain a clean and organized studio space, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized.

- Stay up to date with the latest Pilates techniques and research, and continuously expand your knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

- Certification in Pilates instruction, with training in both mat and equipment Pilates.

- Additional certification or training in Stotts Pilates is highly desirable.

- Proven experience as a Pilates instructor, with a track record of delivering high-quality instruction to clients of various fitness levels.

- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and inspire clients.

- Ability to adapt and modify exercises to accommodate clients' needs and limitations.

- Passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their wellness goals.

As an Instructor, you will lead a team of Volunteers / Facilitators to conduct M.Y Strong Reader sessions to preschoolers between 4 – 6 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Manage Class Aides and conduct weekly briefings about sessions
• Prepare session materials and ensure smooth running of sessions
• Create a fun learning environment for Class Aides and children
• Lead and supervise Class Aides to run Learning Journeys and weekly sessions
• Lead programme activities including but not limited to parent-child bonding day,as required or called upon
• Liaison with on-site teachers and principals as needed

Requirements

• Must have prior experience in working with preschoolers and/or classroom management
• Must be open to traveling to different locations around Singapore
• Diploma/Degree in any discipline, Early Childhood preferred
• Passionate about reading and working with preschoolers
• Resourceful and good problem-solving skills
• Strong collaborative and communication skills with stakeholders
• Confident in team leading a diverse group of people from all walks of life
