• Assist the Operations team with any other ad hoc tasks as required. Includes ad hoc
• administration tasks as required by Head of Operations.

• Exhibitions.
• Available to travel in APAC.
• Report to Operations Director, and work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Producers, the project team and other Operations team members to seamlessly deliver the event.

The Restructuring and Insolvency team

Our Restructuring and Insolvency team works closely with industry professionals, companies and their stakeholders to identify and resolve issues affecting profitability, protect enterprise value and facilitate a full recovery where possible.

The team is made up of young and friendly professionals bringing about an easy-going culture. While projects are often performed in a pressurised environment, the team works collaboratively and supportively across all levels to be able to deliver their best. The leaders in the team are hands-on, guiding and teaching junior members to navigate situations and stakeholders that may be difficult or tricky. Each individual has the space to grow in their own way and to discover what is best for them.

Responsibilities

• Managing and executing day to day issues on restructuring and insolvency engagements (being, amongst others, liquidation, receivership, judicial management, scheme of arrangement, monitoring / exceptional accountant, debt restructuring and personal insolvency work)
• Liaising with stakeholders, creditors and other advisors
• Preparing draft correspondence, reports and presentations
• Reconstructing of (complex) accounting records from incomplete information
• Undertaking investigative work for the benefit of recovering assets for the insolvent estate and company analysis, including financial modelling where necessary
• Participating in client meetings and strategy discussions with supervisors and partners
• For insolvency matters, attending to statutory and compliance matters
• Assisting in department networking and marketing activities

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
• Minimum 5 or 6 years previous experience in a restructuring and insolvency team
• Experience in supervising work of junior members
• Experience in managing a variety of projects and engagements
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word and financial modelling an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Supervise and oversee junior team members and review their work product
• Review and draft compliance documents, frameworks and templates, covering all aspects of regulatory compliance
• Analysing and summarising MAS publications and regulatory updates
• Develop training programs, with opportunities to provide training to clients
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead in the execution of Mergers & Acquisitions, IPOs Placements, Secondary Offerings, Private Placements and other related Capital Markets transactions
• Lead in the conducting comparable company/ comparable transaction analysis and develop financial modelling for business valuation
• Lead and the preparation of marketing related materials, including industry research, sales teaser, information memorandum, term sheets, discussion materials for clients and investors engagement, agreements, and due diligence-related material/ documentations
• Lead, organization and coordination of meetings/roadshows and other relevant marketing activities
• Liaise and maintain an excellent relationship with clients, professional parties, regulatory authorities and investors and working towards successful completion of transactions
• Assist/lead in deal origination by targeting potential clients and compiling pitch presentations
• Lead and support the department in business development
• Opportunities to work across the Capital Markets department in corporate finance transactions or corporate restructuring transactions

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related disciplines from a reputable university
• Prior work experience of at least 8 years in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, Consulting in specialised industry, Equity Research, Corporate Finance or Financial Sales work experience, with a track record of completed Capital Markets transactions, would be an advantage.

• Mature and independent worker with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate investment thesis to investors, and to develop rapport with clients through constant interaction
