Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operation includes coordination of air and sea freights, transshipments, land deliveries & cross border shipments.
• Responsible for logistics coordination & execution of general goods, ships spares, special/odd size/oversize cargo, breakbulk, DG or Radioactive cargoes.
• Provide timely and accurate quotations to clients beyond existing contractual agreements and sourcing optimal freight solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, meeting contractual obligations and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Optimize freight solutions and minimize expenses while maintaining service quality and meeting budgetary constraints.
• Provide real-time updates to clients and proactively address any issues or delays to ensure smooth transportation and delivery processes.
• Handling full scope of operation from quotation to billing and maintain proper closing of files, etc.
• Monitoring shipments in a timely manner to ensure shipments are uplifted and delivered in time.
• Collaborates with global agents to facilitate collection of shipments from suppliers.
• Maintain and updating of reports for PO and its inventories, including updating of shipping movements and current statuses.
• Keeping MES documents and reports in an orderly manner.
• Prepares tenders and contract renewals as required.

Qualifications:

• NITEC/GCE'N' or 'O' Level/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work efficiently under pressure.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Requires baisc knlowledge in all activities related to freight forwarding services, including arranging transport and delivery of shipments and other related functions.
• Requires basic knowledge of ocean carrier selection, NVOCC terminology and methods and export documentation.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in excel and MS Office applications.
• Permit Declarant with a strong understanding of customs regulations and permit declaration processes will be an advantage.

Purpose of the role:

To drive the growth of OSRL's influence and reputation in the shipping and new fuels sector, we're seeking individual to contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans. This role will play a crucial part in expanding membership, increasing preparedness income, and generating requests for response services, with a primary focus on the APAC region. As a New Fuels Business Development Executive, you'll not only support global initiatives but also take the lead in seizing opportunities within APAC, shaping the future of our organisation in this dynamic industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and develop business opportunities for OSRL’s preparedness services within the marine/ shipping sector to achieve agreed budgets and targets as well as developing and evaluating new preparedness solutions.
• Cultivate new membership and supplementary service opportunities within the marine/ shipping sector to achieve agreed budgets and targets.
• Engage with the Shipping, Salvage, Maritime Industry and organisations producing, transporting and distributing new and transition fuels to promote the value of OSRL’s preparedness and response services, distinguishing us from our competitors and validating our best-in-class reputation.
• Nurture our existing shipping members developing strong relationships and help solve their emergency preparedness and response needs through existing or new OSRL services and/or working in partnership with other specialist providers.
• Develop and nurture new and existing regional APAC relationships, promoting key messaging and benefits of response good practice in the context of shipping, salvage and wreck removal.
• Produce monthly debtor and accruals reports for submission for Singapore and Australia.
• Active involvement in the preparation for and conduct of the annual statutory audit
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of records and alignment to the Nominal Ledger e.g. prepare relevant balance sheet reconciliations for AP Region.
• Maintain records and documentation for Corporate Secretarial and related matters.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the annual business development plan and income budget, with a focus on APAC regional aspects.
• Develop and implement account management plans for regional OSRL Shipping members to retain existing members and attract new customers.
• Support global shipping engagement plans and collaborate with industry partners to remain informed of research and development activities.
• Drive business development efforts to achieve long-term growth and exceed financial targets.
• Identify and qualify potential partners for the delivery of sector-specific preparedness and response services.
• Support internal communications efforts and industry segment market research.

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years' experience in business development, preferably in shipping or energy.
• Familiarity with the new fuels industry and a comprehensive understanding of shipping regulations and trends.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field.
