• Perform accurate calculation of monthly retrofit adjustments for related product lines
• Reviews commission income report and prepares third party commission expense report on a monthly basis
• Handles the fixed asset function to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
• Prepare the half-yearly computation of G&A charge-out to regional JV
• Prepare quarterly review of Lower of Cost or Market Value of inventory to determine potential write-down
• Responsible for preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Handles queries from external auditors during audits and preparation of audit schedules
• Participates in the annual operating and capital budgets for planning and control purposes, includes addressing queries from various stakeholders including product line managers, department heads of functional groups etc and review reasonableness to ensure budgets are prepared in accordance with corporate guidelines
• Preparation and coordination of SOX key control testing documentations to ensure internal control processes work effectively
• Assists in handling new lease contracts within established system to ensure compliance with USGAAP and FRS 116 standard for lease accounting
• Perform physical inventory count and other special assignments, as directed
• Posting of vendor invoices as and when necessary

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
• Min 2 years public accounting experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Systems – Excel, Power Point and Word
• Strong team player but also able to work independently and accurately with an eye for details
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in Chinese is a requisite (due to requirement liaising with China’s counter-parties communicating in Mandarin)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP S4/Hana; SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM); BlackLine
• A qualified CPA will be an added advantage

Role Overview:

This position is accountable for day-to-day accounting functions to support our organizational financial activities. Key responsibilities include:

Accounting Operations:

• Manage and oversee full sets of accounts, covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets Register.
• Provide accounting support to programs and support staff, addressing financial inquiries to meet organizational needs.

Reporting:

• Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy of management accounts and financial statements in alignment with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Prepare and submit ad hoc financial reports promptly.

Budgeting:

• Assist in the annual budgeting exercise.
• Support midyear review processes.

Internal/Statutory Audit:

• Participate in internal audit activities as needed.
• Handle statutory audit responsibilities, including schedule preparation and coordination with external auditors.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and processes within the accounting function, taking enforcement actions when necessary.
• Guarantee compliance with accounting standards.
• Review and suggest improvements in accounting systems and procedures.

Ad Hoc:

• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with accounting software.
• Experience with Sage 300 (Accpac) Accounting Software is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
• Proactive team player with the ability to work independently and strong communication skills.
• Experience in the social service sector is beneficial.
• Supervisory experience is advantageous.

· Assist in the preparation of Group Consolidation reports.
