Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• Excellent academic record computer science or in a relevant quantitative field such as physics, mathematics, statistics, engineering
• Strong programming skills in an object oriented or functional paradigm such as Java or C++
• Self-starter with strong self-management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience of the following would be advantageous:

• 3 years of experience in Java 8 or above
• Experience building multi-threaded/concurrent or low-latency systems
• Prior experience in building trading/front office platforms

Responsibilities:

• Assist in routine financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting tasks
• Support ad-hoc financial requests and data preparation for strategic decision-making
• Approve FastPay collections link submission for students’ activities and provide support.
• Preparation for withholding tax submission
• Preparation Risk Control Matrix
• Contribute to streamlining existing workflows and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Review of journals submission and budget transfers.
• Review of WBS creations and submission

Requirements:

• Possess a recognized degree in Accountancy with a minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience.
• Good knowledge of SAP financial systems (S4 HANA) and analytical tools (eg. Power BI) would be an advantage.
• Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• High level of independence as well as the maturity and ability to work with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide guidance within the Transaction Monitoring and Sanction function
• Oversight of day to day Transaction Monitoring and Sanction function and monitor aging status
• Assist in performing level 2 review of corporate and STORMS alerts
• Review and checking of response for Production Orders and filing of STRs
• Assist in performing sample testing on commercial bank individual alerts cleared by Level 1 reviewers
• Review quarterly sample testing on Accuity (trade financing) alerts
• Annual review of transaction monitoring parameters and thresholds
• Review gap analysis performed by business units and assessed by team members
• Review of business/exception/extension memos
• Assist in management, HO, regulatory reporting, audit and regulatory inspections/requests
• Review of AML policy and procedure and to undertake appropriate changes
• Conducting AML related trainings
• Sharing session with Transaction Monitoring and Sanction team members during ongoing regular meetings
• Dissemination of regulatory updates from STRO/authority

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking or equivalent discipline
• 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle all stakeholders
• Good working knowledge in local rules and regulations
