Job Description:

The appointed Manager will serve as a support to finance partners to provide the following financial services within a Shared Services operating environment.

· Support the financial aspects of the reporting entity (RIs) that is/are assigned Financial aspects include budgeting and planning, financial and management reporting and financial analysis of the RIs

· Ensure internal controls and financial procedures are in compliance with Financial Policy and Procedures (FPP).

· Support the preparation of Audit Committee (AC) presentation slides.

· Assist in the preparation of fund management schedules.

· Liaise with other Finance Partners to obtain information / document procedures.

· Provide support to projects such as review/cleansing of data, user acceptance test.

· Ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Possess at least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in financial operations and reporting.

· Knowledge of SAP system will be advantageous.

· Involvement in system automation projects will be advantageous.

· Systematic, with strong analytical and communication skills.

· Able to multi-task and deliver results under tight timelines.

Job Description

Data Management

• Create and maintain SAP master data for grants and funds (e.g. fund, cost centre, WBS) for Entity research and supporting entities timely upon request from stakeholders.
• Check supporting documents provided to ensure information contained is complete and in accordance with the overall data schema.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies.
• Perform closing of project codes timely as per SOP, and any re-opening as required to facilitate operations.
• Perform regular checks on newly created master data, flag exceptions for follow-up and resolution.
• Ensure grants documentations are well organised and maintained (e.g. Letter of Awards, variation approvals).

Management Reporting

• Support the maintenance of Entity Management Reporting System (MRS), a data visualisation dashboard that runs on Tableau platform.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in MRS via designing and performing regular checks
• Manage stakeholders as owner of MRS, including the following tasks:
• Process and maintain user access for MRS
• Coordinate and conduct regular training for MRS users
• Manage queries and feedback from MRS users
• Prepare monthly management reports to Entity research and supporting entities
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance with 3 to 5years of relevant experience
• Those without experience but with good aptitude may be considered
• Proficient in MS Office application, Tableau
• Meticulous, organized and possess good communication skills
• Knowledge of SA and Bi reporting tools will be advantageous

Job Responsibilities

General

• Responsible for month and year end closing of accounts for the Research Institutes as allocated.
• Responsible for and timely processing of transactions with the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for the assigned processes, including but not limited to Grant Utilisation, Prepayment, GST reporting, Manpower provision, Lease Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Consolidation.
• Responsible for timely review of month and year end closing of accounts as well as preparation of and follow up on monthly accounting schedules, mid year & year end consol pack and bank reconciliation
• Handles InterCo confirmation and IntraCo reconciliation and follow up on the reconciling items with counter-parties for closure

• Support as Business & Data Analyst in Risk Management Group Corporate Credit Related projects/ enhancements and also for BAU production support.
