The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager directly, you will be the key point of contact for financial reporting in SEA and work closely with the regional departments and the local accounting team. The key responsibilities include driving GL review, accruals planning, procure to pay analysis, tax reporting, reviewing monthly, quarterly and yearly actual reporting in the group consolidation tool. You will also play a supporting role on cost center reporting, operating expenses and capital expenditure in order to support the budget process and opex variance analysis. Other key responsibilities include being the key point of contract to the outsourced service providers and attend to queries with solutions. Ensure appropriate work processes are adopted in adhering to strict reporting datelines.

Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy with minimum 8 years of relevant experience ideally within Retail or FMCG industry. It is essential to have strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations and familiarity with SAP. Key Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Director to oversee all aspects of Finance Functions, such as Financial Accounting, Regulatory requirements, Operational and Management Reporting and Financial Controls

• Manage month-end Closing and Financial Reporting, both at Group and Local level

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional accounting qualification

• Knowledge of Credit Insurance market specificity an advantage

• 7 to 10 years of Insurance accounting and Reporting experience with strong knowledge of IFRS

• Good business acumen

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, knowledge of SAP an advantage

Responsibilities

• Book-keeping of securities investments of iFAST Corp (including CR, CP, GJ and bond express inventories)
• Timely update of FD register / schedule and book-keeping of FD (including placement / renewal / withdrawal) and monthly accrued interest
• Staff claims for iFAST Corp
• In charge of petty cash of iFAST Corp
• Update weekly cash balances of iFAST Corp and iFAST Financial (including in-house securities investments)
• Monthly wrap fee and management fee payout and related CP entries
• Prepare CR/CP for daily collection of various types of revenue and daily funding and unwinding amount
• Assist in testing for new systems/modules related to Finance

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :

Import Letter of Credit
Check LC/SBLC draft from supplier against purchase contract/deal recap and the governance trade
rules
Send LC/SBLC draft to issuing bank to vet through
Liaise with contract and operation colleagues for any issues pertaining to the LC issuance
Together with the observations from the issuing banks, send the final draft to supplier for acceptance
before issuance
Once draft accepted, prepare bank application and obtain authorized signatory for issuing bank’s
issuance
Email to supplier a copy of the LC/SBLC after issuance and update into report timely

Export Letter of Credit
Provide LC/SBLC draft to customers as well as check LC/SBLC draft from customers before
issuance
Ensure LC/SBLC draft complies with our sales contract and the governance trade rules
Ensure LC to be issued from our approved bank lists. If not, LC to add confirmation
Liaise with contract and operation colleagues for any issues pertaining to the LC issuance
Once draft accepted, customers to issue LC/SBLC and after receipt of LC copy from bank, ensure it
was issued in good order before informing operations on loadings to be commenced

Expenses reimbursement and vendor payment
Prepare all payment vouchers for employee reimbursement and vendor payments
Issue cheques for reimbursement less than S$1,000

Cash Flow
Maintain cashflow and ensure funds are duly received or paid to avoid any late receipt or payment
Daily update cashflow positions

Reports
Maintain bank charges or interest report by sub-books
Update “HYII Facilities Position FY18” daily for review

Others
Proper filing of LC documents
Verify all LC commissions, related bank charges are correct
Any Ad-Hoc duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Diploma/ Degree in accountancy or finance. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
