Accountabilities

1. SEA accounting and finance functions

• Responsible for effective accounting operations and governance;
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closing to ensure all financial and management reporting deadlines are met;
• Provide senior management with budgets and periodic forecasts, including bookings, sales, margins, SG&A, EBITDA and working capital;
• Run annual budgets and forecasts, including the roll-out of regular re-forecasting cycles and processes;

2. Financial planning and analysis

• Developing efficiencies and process improvements within the team’s work streams;
• Partnering with departmental leaders to determine and support financial analysis needs;
• Managing financial aspects of projects by determining key drivers, driving the right set of analyses and presenting the conclusions;
• Monthly reporting and variance analysis, including backlogs and bookships;
• Product margins and performance (also Business Unit performance);
• Customer margins and performance;
• Regional margins and performance;
• Prepare ad-hoc management financial reports as required;
• Prepare management reporting packs in a timely and clear fashion, with risks and opportunities readily identified; and
• Support APAC VP Finance on ad-hoc tasks as required.

You will work with NUS Business School Professor Karsten Müller at the Department of Finance. This work uses macro and micro data and cutting-edge statistical methods to understand the drivers and consequences of who in the economy receives credit. Among other things, you will help to (a) construct novel data sources to measure credit market conditions, (b) analyse data to document the role of credit markets in recessions and stock market crashes, and (c) analyse the effectiveness of financial policies and credit subsidies in stimulating economic growth.

You will work with us on a variety of tasks, including data collection and analysis, statistical programming and data visualization, conducting literature reviews, summarizing research findings and policy documents, and editing research papers. REQUIREMENTS

1. Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is essential.

2. Professional Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management or a related field. Prior experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis role is preferred.
