Financial reporting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS- compliant financial reports centrally for various LGT Asia Pacific (APAC) legal entities on a standalone basis, as required by Group Accounting for consolidation purposes.

- Drive and centrally implement changes in Group Accounting policies and/or IFRS Accounting Standards, including the implementation of process and system changes as needed.

- Liaise with Head Office finance stakeholders on reporting submission, implementation of new requirements and address queries related to the submissions.

- Drive month-end closing processes (e.g. ensure proper accounting cut-off, reconciliation, balance sheet attestations etc)

- Ensure all necessary month end entries and provisions are made.

- Independently engage relevant stakeholders in the various areas of responsibilities.

- Enhance efficiency and effectiveness through pro-active measures to automate and enhance processes.

- Support local finance teams within APAC that required additional information for the preparation of Local Statutory Financial Statement and audits.

Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent

Singapore has evolved into one of Asia’s main financial hubs, and after recent setbacks to Hong Kong, its share of regional trading and banking activity is on the rise. About the Role

Health, Safety, Environmental and Social (HSES) management is a strategic priority for PIDG, and we are seeking to strengthen the Impact team through the recruitment of a HSES Advisor.

The HSES Advisor is expected to support the implementation of the PIDG HSES risk management framework (and development arm HSES risk management processes as applicable) primarily for investments in the portfolio of our project development arm in Asia (InfraCo Asia).

The appointed candidate should support the Impact team in the implementation of the HSES risk management framework holistically across all HSES-related subject matters.

The appointed candidate will be based out of the PIDG Asia regional office in Singapore. Some travel will be expected between the PIDG offices and to project sites.

Main Responsibilities

Implement the PIDG Group HSES risk management framework:

• For investments in Asia, work with PIDG HSES to implement the PIDG HSES risk management framework (and development arm HSES risk management processes, as applicable) across the investment lifecycle, including:

1. Screen projects for HSES risk
2. Support HSES due diligence, and/or contributing to, and reviewing HSES due diligence reports prepared by external consultants
3. Develop/Input to Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAP).
4. Provide input into Impact clinics and investment committee papers.
5. Provide advice and guidance on the incorporation of HSES recommendations in project documentation and agreements (as appropriate).
6. Undertake HSES monitoring and assurance of projects.
7. Undertake project exit / post investment review (PIR).

• In collaboration with the HSES Manager, manage the Asian portfolio investments’ HSES governance over the duration of the investment, including:

1. Support engagement with clients to discuss HSES issues.
2. Review of project related HSES documentation (ESHIA, ESMP, etc.).
3. Support the development and implementation of project HSES management systems.
4. Undertake periodic HSES monitoring and assurance visits to projects, review HSES performance reports and recommend changes for continuous improvement.

• Identify opportunities for adding HSES management value in a project (working with PIDG HSES and PIDG Technical Assistance team to mobilize technical and financial support for projects as needed).

Contribute to PIDG Impact team:

• Contribute to continuous development of PIDG Impact team as a centre of excellence in infrastructure investment.

Qualifications and education requirements

• An undergraduate degree in the environmental management, science, social sciences, engineering, or other related discipline is essential. Experience in, or knowledge of, risk assessment, development of environmental and social policies/standards, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment or management of environmental and social impacts.

Skills and Experience

• At least five (5) years’ work experience in a related field (relevant sector, HSES and / or sustainability etc), preferably within HSES consulting, development finance or private equity / the wider investment industry.
• Good understanding of the development/implementation of HSES management systems.
