Your Role
As a Technical Consultant, you are expected to provide expert advice and assistance to clients regarding technical issues, solutions, and implementations. You are required to understanding client needs, recommending appropriate technical solutions, and ensuring the successful integration and deployment of those solutions.
Your Responsibilities
a. Involve in end-to-end projects, providing technical support and solutions to the functional consultant or project manager in dealing with customers to setting the next level requirements.
b. Transform business system design and deliver quality solutions as per client’s requirements.
c. Timely support with ongoing client engagements by being efficient in producing, testing, and deploying programs and applications based on requirements to improve existing software.
d. Recommend and implement improvements for existing developments to satisfy guidelines and data privacy regulations through well-built content management.
e. Evaluate transactional data to advise foreknowledge and practical strategies to promote business expansion.
f. Gather, assess, organise and update on technical documentation to close gaps and fix/locate bugs in the system.
About you
Your Knowledge, Skills and Qualification
a. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
b. Passionate about programming knowledge, enjoys debugging, creative in problem-solving literally and figuratively, and attracted by IT and enjoys interacting with techies.
c. Proficient in Java, C++ and other programming languages is necessary.
d. Keen to understand business challenges; have a nose for entrepreneurship and new innovative technologies to provide high-value solutions to clients.
e. Good to have some knowledge of ECM and Microsoft applications but not a must.
f. Effective problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills with customer-focused mindset to explain complex matters in a simple way.
Your Experience
a. Certification in Content Suite Management such as OpenText, Documentum, with proven experience in ECM implementations will be an added advantage.
b. Knowledge of the xECM architecture and system designing, OpenText Capture Solutions and viewing and transformation solutions will be an added advantage.
c. Knowledge in setting up Virtual Machines and Web servers and understanding of networking and load balancing concepts. Understanding and exposure to Linux operating systems will be an added advantage.
d. Knowledge of databases such as but not limited to Oracle, MSSQL, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Must be well versed with concepts of Querying.
e. Preferably have some development experience and exposure to the development environment in any software system.
f. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with clients.
g. Self-driven and able to work well with different stakeholders.
h. Be open to learning new things and excited to enrich your knowledge.
