Assistant Restaurant Manager

Customer service-focused professional with a passion for leading operations to deliver excellent customer experiences and positive team outcomes. The Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) is the custodian of the restaurant in an operational second-in-charge function to the Restaurant Manager.

The ARM is expected to manage through the team and whilst they will understand how all the tasks involved are necessary to achieve these outcomes, they are expected to sufficiently delegate and coordinate the completion of these tasks throughout the team based on the individuals’ strengths.

The ARM is expected to be the bridge between three stakeholders: senior management, junior team members, and customers.

The responsibilities of the ARM are varied and encompass the following four areas of business impact:

Sufficient planning is conducted to ensure the restaurant has all the materials and tools it needs to deliver an exceptional customer experience every time.

Ensures the outlet team is a disciplined, well-trained, highly functional team with a positive team culture that radiates to customers. The ARM does this by communicating direction (the “where we are going”), the “why”, building alignment, and instilling commitment in their team. The ARM regularly gives and receives feedback from their team and seniors and is a role model for their team.

3) Customer Excellence

The customer receives consistently excellent experience, every time in alignment with our hospitality SOPs.

4) Business Excellence

Company resources are used frugally, and recipes are consistently delivered. Identifies opportunities to make cost savings that will not result in erosion of customer experience.

You will be our frontline officer assigned to manage the day-to-day operations at the reception area. You will conduct intake interviews and financial assessments, arrange for appointments, serve as a translator during medical social workers’ sessions with patients as well as conduct home visits to assess and follow-up on counselling sessions for patients. You are responsible for the provision of accurate documentation and statistics.

We are looking for candidates with:

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to speak common dialects is desirable, though not essential, in order to liaise with the dialect speaking patients and their families

The Candidate:

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Management, or Risk Management is essential.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within risk management preferred.
• Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements.
• Strong conceptual skills, including qualitative and quantitative methods for risk management, with a solid understanding of ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) and CSA (Control Self-Assessment) frameworks.

Job Description:

This is a full time role for a Retail Assistant located in Commonwealth Drive. Our client is a local Board Game store and distributor. You will manage the daily operations of a centre, ensuring its smooth functioning by overseeing both administrative and operational tasks. Assistant Manager, Business Development is a pivotal role within our sales team, responsible for driving growth by identifying and pursuing sales leads, presenting our products/services to potential clients, and fostering strong relationships with new contacts. The incumbent will play a crucial role in client retention by effectively communicating new developments and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. In addition, the Assistant Manager will oversee the creation and evolution of marketing literature to support our business development efforts.

The Assistant Manager, Business Development also responds to RFP's, tenders, and develops sales in new sales territories.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and research potential sales leads through various channels, including online research, industry events, and networking.
• Qualify leads based on defined criteria and prioritize opportunities with the greatest potential for business growth.
• Initiate contact with potential clients, engaging in effective communication to understand their needs and present our products/services as solutions.
• Conduct compelling and persuasive sales presentations, tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to establish a strong rapport.
• Work closely with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and business objectives.
• Regularly communicate new developments, updates, and offerings to prospective and current clients to maximize client engagement and retention.
• Communicate company value proposition and deliver a conceptual proposal and service delivery design
• Manage the end-to-end bid process
• Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
• Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
• Preparation of sales & marketing materials and tender proposals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and progress in company software.
• Prepare regular reports and analyses on sales performance, lead generation, and conversion rates to provide insights for decision-making.

Requirements

Our products feature a mix of in-house design & production, as well as working with other local & international brands to bring in exclusive products for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Identify customers' needs and recommend suitable shop items that best satisfy their needs.

Assisting customers in locating desired shop items.

Informing customers of shop promotions to encourage purchases.

Restocking depleted or low shop items and ensuring that the sales floor is organized according to established guidelines.

Assisting to tag items / visual merchandising.

Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.

Working hours:

The shifts are usually 10-3 OR 3-7/8pm (4-5hours shift) or full shift (10-7/8pm) if you'd prefer.

Weekday opening hours: 10-7pm

Weekend opening hours: 10-8pm

You will provide support to the Innovation Council and coordinate with Priority Area Leads to drive healthcare innovation efforts across the Academic Medical Centre (AMC), fostering partnerships between internal stakeholders and external partners to build a sustainable platform for sharing and learning. As part of the Academic Medicine Innovation Institute (AMII) secretariat team, you will plan and facilitate the key meetings of AMII. You will lead the preparation of the meeting materials and ensure timely monitoring, reporting and updating of the progress of AMII projects and initiatives to the Senior Management and other key stakeholders.

You will also be involved in the coordination, planning and organisation of AMII key events, such as the annual Innovation Retreat and Workshop. Additionally, you will maintain the repository of innovation projects by coordinating with the relevant offices to compile and update project information. You will be responsible for keeping an up-to-date record of AMII’s innovation resources, including assets, capabilities, programmes and partnerships and ensure that the information is up to date.

As a secondary role, you will support the planning and execution of cluster-wide innovation grant calls.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, preferably with good honours
• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare management, innovation funding, or any other innovation-related fields
• Knowledge of healthcare innovation processes
• Experienced at stakeholder management and partnering
• Experienced in grant administration and organising webinars
• Experienced in using data visualisation tools
