Purpose of Job
To supervise, control, coordinate and advise on the day-to-day operations of the meetings, conferences, events, exhibitions and functions held at YWCA Fort Canning.
Key Responsibilities Areas
Ā· To ensure the services of the Banquet are upheld to the service standards.
Ā· To check all the function rooms daily before the opening hours to ensure that they are ready for business.
Ā· To work closely with all the Chefs and the Stewarding Supervisor to ensure all activities in all the outlets are well coordinated and carried out according to the event orders.
Ā· To train and educate all the Banquet Staff to ensure that they are competent in carrying out their duties.
Ā· To attend to all VIP guests attending events and functions.
Ā· To report to the F&B Manager of any operational problems and recommends solutions to the problems.
Ā· To ensure all events have sufficient manpower to cope with the day-to-day operations.
Ā· To maintain a good relationship with guests.
Ā· To motivate subordinates to deliver high level of service standards.
Ā· To carry out special projects or to perform additional duties in other areas which may be assigned.
Ā· To ensure that the Supervisors and Captains are well-versed with the fire protection procedures.
Ā· To carry out any other related duties may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Ā· Diploma in Food & Beverage Management or equivalent.
Ā· Minimum 2 years of F&B management experience, preferably in hospitality sector.
Ā· Good working knowledge of POS system will be advantage.
Ā· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
