The Postdoctoral Associate is in the program level for the five-year M3S program in SMART. The SMART team seeks to advance the frontier of AI research, apply it to society and cities, and demonstrate the concrete social impacts of the AI algorithms with broad public acceptance in Singapore.

Specifically, the SMART-Program team seeks to develop ethical, accountable, and transparent AI for broad public acceptance and adoption in Singapore. The SMART-Program team will collaborate closely with the seven projects across the M3S program. It absorbs core AI technology from the projects and then enhances AI ethics with algorithmic approaches. It will develop surveys to analyze the public acceptance regarding AI technology and designs methods to enhance public acceptance/adoption for AI. We are searching for highly qualified Associate candidates, for strategy consulting roles working broadly across financial services for our business and are looking for candidates with relevant work experience preferably in Financial Services and/or Management consulting. Experience could be from working at financial institutions or supporting them in consulting capacity.

What you will do:

Associates break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identifying the key aspects of a problem and directing the focus of junior consultants to those elements. You will effectively plan and execute analysis as well as identify the core issues in complex analyses in order to be able to craft suitable recommendations. You’ll work side by side with clients and your project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams to get the work done. Clients and colleagues look to Associates for unique insight into the subject area which they have chosen.

• Managing the execution of individual project modules. This typically includes developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, creatively tackling information limitations, and surfacing insights.
• Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high quality case execution
• Owning and developing executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.
• Reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance on technical and senior-level steer to projects
• Coaching consultants and helping them develop their skill sets
• Lead workstream related to retail banking operational efficiency improvement, including sales support, mid / back office operation processes; as well as customer experience and journey improvement
• Need to be able to lead direct client communication, including preparation of client workshop
• Requiring candidate to have hands-on project experience related to retail banking and digital banking, related to customer journey design / process design, etc.

Summary:

1. Contract Fulfilment/Invoicing:

• Timely and accurate distribution of all documentation including new/renewed contracts
• Monitoring of existing contracts so as to ensure timely notification of upcoming renewals
• Contracts are issued in a timely and efficient manner and ensuring a signed copy is held on file and in Salesforce.com
• Salesforce - Ensuring integrity of client and contract information on Salesforce.com through the accurate input of client/contract data for billing purposes
• Invoicing – ensuring invoices are issued correctly and accurately
• Acting as first point of contact for invoice dispute management
• Interdepartmental communication – Representing Client Services to internal department (Operations, Finance and Marketing) so as to ensure client needs are satisfied

2. Account Management / Client Liaison:

• Provide client activity reports as per the agreed client specific service agreements in an accurate and timely manner
• Respond to client service requests in an efficient manner and coordinate the involvement and reports of other departments where appropriate
• Preparation and communication of activity reports to clients via telephone and face-to-face

• Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com

Requirements:

• Proficient in Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Detail-oriented, meticulous, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in the spoken-Chinese language is a plus to communicate with Chinese-speaking senior employees
• Minimum Diploma holder, preferably in HR.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
