The dormitory supervisor resides in the program’s summer dormitory, monitors program participants in the evening and overnight, and provides supervision on program field trips. The dormitory supervisor also helps with delivering tutor training. Main responsibilities:

• Ensure that fire safety requirements contained in the Emergency Response Plan are complied with at all times
• Supervise the maintenance of all fire safety works and systems in the premises
• Ensure that the occupant load of any part of any building does not exceed the capacity prescribed under the Fire Code at all times
• Conduct daily checks within the premises and remove or cause to be removed any fire hazard that is found within the premises
• Prepare and execute the Emergency Response Plan for the premises and distribute the Emergency Response Plan to the occupants of the premises
• Conduct fire drills for the occupants of the premises at least twice in every calendar year or on such occasion as may be directed by the Commissioner of SCDF
• Ensure that all occupants are familiar with the means of escape located within the premises
• Prepare fire safety guidebooks for the occupants of the premises; train, co-ordinate and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team for the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Train the occupants in first aid, firefighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Co-ordinate and supervise the occupants within the premises in firefighting and in evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Supervise the operation of the Fire Command Centre in the event of fire or other related emergencies
• Conduct at least 2 Table-Top Exercises within the premises each year and to evaluate, together with the Fire Safety Committee, the effectiveness of the Arson Prevention Plan and the Emergency Response Plan for the premises
• Prepare and implement the Arson Prevention Plan for the premises
• Notify the Commissioner of SCDF immediately upon the occurrence of any fire incident in the premises
• Organise campaigns, training courses, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the occupants within the premises in establishing a fire safe environment
• Carry out such other duties as the Commissioner may require
• Conduct fire risk assessment of the premises:

a) at least once in every 3 years

b) whenever the Senior Fire Safety Manager becomes aware of any change in work processes or work activities at the premises which is likely to increase the fire risk at the premises; and

c) whenever the Commissioner directs a fire risk assessment to be carried out

• Perform checks to ensure that any fire safety works using alternative solutions meet the requirements set out in the operations and maintenance manual, if any
• Any other duties/tasks as directed by the Management

Requirements:

• Registered Senior Fire Safety Manager with SCDF
• Diploma/Degree with minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)
• Good computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills
• Good organizational and problem solving skills
• Meticulous and able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
• Consistently participating in the Continual Profession Development programmes as a certified Senior FSM
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Certified in M&E and/or Facility Management will be advantageous

The successful candidate will be either:

• a specialist personal data privacy lawyer; or

The successful candidate will undertake legal and regulatory compliance work for the Singapore Airlines Limited (“SIA”) group of companies, especially with respect to the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act and global privacy laws.

As part of the Legal, Compliance & Secretariat Department (“LCS”) in the Corporate Planning Division of SIA, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:
Personal Data Protection Work

• Advise business units on personal data protection matters (including legal risks and/or implications of business decisions), and offer appropriate solutions, if possible;
• Draft, review and negotiate personal data protection clauses, data processing agreements/templates, privacy notices, etc;
• Work with business units to evaluate, implement and monitor internal personal data protection compliance policies, procedures, controls and/or remediation measures, as may be needed from time to time;
• Prepare personal data protection compliance reports periodically;
• Provide personal data protection training to relevant employees; and

Legal Work

Requirements

The candidate should have:

• a law degree from a reputable university in Singapore or a Commonwealth jurisdiction,
• at least three (3) years of legal experience and/or personal data protection law experience gained in a reputable law firm or in-house, and
• excellent contract drafting skills.
